Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as an Asset Protection Specialist
Align your credentials to U.S. specialty occupation standards
Asset protection roles require a degree in criminal justice, business, or a related field to meet E-3 specialty occupation criteria. A general security background without a qualifying degree won't clear the LCA stage, so confirm your credentials map directly to the posted role.
Target employers with established loss prevention departments
Large national retailers, logistics companies, and financial institutions run structured asset protection divisions with HR teams familiar with visa processes. These employers are far more likely to sponsor an E-3 than smaller regional operators with no prior sponsorship history.
Get your U.S. certifications lined up before applying
Certifications like CFI (Certified Forensic Interviewer) or LPQ carry real weight with U.S. asset protection hiring managers. Having these before your first interview signals professional parity with domestic candidates and reduces employer hesitation around sponsorship.
Clarify E-3 sponsorship requirements early in interviews
Many asset protection employers confuse E-3 with H-1B and assume a lottery is involved. Explain upfront that E-3 has no cap lottery, no quota risk, and requires only an LCA filing with DOL plus a consulate appointment, keeping the employer's commitment low and predictable.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle your LCA and visa paperwork
Once you have an offer, Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service manages the DOL Labor Condition Application, visa documentation, and consulate preparation end-to-end. This is particularly useful if your employer's HR team has never sponsored an E-3 before and needs a guided process.
Confirm your employer is E-Verify enrolled before accepting an offer
E-Verify enrollment is required for certain government contractors and STEM roles, but many asset protection positions in federally contracted retail or logistics operations carry the same obligation. Verifying this before signing avoids a compliance gap on your first day.

Find Asset Protection Specialist JobsAsset Protection Specialist E-3 Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Asset Protection Specialist jobs with E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to search for Asset Protection Specialist roles where employers are open to E-3 sponsorship. Standard job boards rarely filter by visa type, so you end up cold-pitching roles that were never intended for international hires. Migrate Mate surfaces positions matched to E-3 eligibility so your applications go to the right employers from the start.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does an Asset Protection Specialist role qualify as a specialty occupation for E-3 purposes?
Yes, provided the position genuinely requires a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as criminal justice, security management, or business. If the job description accepts any degree or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree, the role may not meet the specialty occupation threshold. Roles in corporate fraud investigation, retail loss prevention management, or security operations leadership typically qualify when the degree requirement is explicit and enforced.
How does the E-3 visa compare to H-1B for Asset Protection Specialist roles?
The E-3 is available exclusively to Australian nationals and has no lottery, no annual cap waitlist, and no quota risk. H-1B requires entering a randomized lottery each April with roughly a one-in-four chance of selection. For asset protection roles, where employers often want to fill positions quickly and don't want to wait through a lottery cycle, the E-3 is a significantly more predictable pathway for both you and your employer.
Can I switch asset protection employers while on an E-3 visa?
Yes, but your new employer must file a fresh LCA with DOL and you'll need a new E-3 visa stamp or a change of status before starting work. The E-3 is tied to a specific employer and position, so you can't simply transfer it. If you're changing roles within asset protection, for example moving from retail loss prevention to corporate fraud, confirm the new job title and duties still meet specialty occupation requirements.
