E-3 Visa Case Manager Jobs
Case Manager roles in social services, healthcare, and nonprofit sectors qualify as E-3 visa specialty occupations when the position requires a bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or a related field. Australian professionals can secure sponsorship without competing in the H-1B lottery, and the visa renews in two-year increments for as long as you hold a qualifying role.

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as a Case Manager
Verify your degree meets specialty occupation standards
U.S. consular officers assess whether your Australian bachelor's degree directly relates to case management. A degree in social work, psychology, or counseling strengthens your application; a general arts degree requires additional documentation showing field-specific coursework.
Target employers who already file LCAs
Hospitals, community health centers, and federally funded nonprofits routinely file Labor Condition Applications for case management roles. Prioritizing these organizations shortens your path to sponsorship because the employer's HR team already understands the DOL certification process.
Address state licensure before accepting an offer
Several states require Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Professional Counselor credentials for case management positions. Confirm whether your target employer's role is licensed or unlicensed before the offer stage, since licensure portability from Australia affects your start timeline.
Get your employer sponsorship-ready fast
Once you have an offer, use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle your LCA and visa paperwork so your employer doesn't need to engage outside immigration counsel, which removes a common reason employers withdraw sponsorship at the last stage.
Clarify whether the role is full-time before the LCA is filed
The DOL requires the LCA to specify whether employment is full-time or part-time, and case management contracts sometimes shift between the two. Confirming this with your employer before the LCA is certified prevents amendments that delay your consulate appointment.
Prepare a credential equivalency letter for three-year degrees
If your Australian bachelor's is a three-year degree, U.S. consular officers may request evidence it is equivalent to a U.S. four-year degree. A credential evaluation from a USCIS-recognized evaluator addresses this before the interview rather than during administrative processing.
E-3 Visa Case Manager: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Case Manager jobs that offer E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate lets you search Case Manager roles filtered specifically for E-3 visa sponsorship, so you're only seeing employers who have already indicated willingness to file. Standard job searches don't surface sponsorship status reliably, which means you can spend weeks applying to roles where the employer won't sponsor at all.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Case Manager role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3 visa?
Case Manager positions qualify when the employer requires at minimum a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as social work, psychology, human services, or a related discipline. Roles where any bachelor's degree is acceptable regardless of field are harder to defend as specialty occupations. The job description and offer letter both need to reflect the degree requirement clearly.
How does the E-3 visa compare to the H-1B for Case Manager roles?
The E-3 has no annual cap and no lottery, so you can apply at any point in the year once you have a job offer and a certified LCA. H-1B applications are limited to 85,000 slots annually and selected by random lottery in April, meaning a qualified Case Manager can wait years or never be selected. For Australian nationals, the E-3 is the faster and more predictable path.
Can I change Case Manager employers after I'm already on an E-3 visa?
Yes, but the process restarts entirely with the new employer. Your new employer files a fresh LCA with the DOL and you attend a new consulate appointment for a new E-3 visa stamp. You can work for the new employer as soon as your new visa is approved, and there's no grace period requirement between roles the way there is with some other visa categories.
