Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as a Director Of Partnerships
Frame your degree field precisely
Your Australian bachelor's degree must align with the partnerships role's stated requirements. A degree in business, marketing, or a related field supports the specialty occupation case. A three-year Australian degree is generally accepted as equivalent to a U.S. four-year qualification.
Target employers with LCA filing history
Search the DOL's Office of Foreign Labor Certification disclosure data to identify companies that have filed LCAs for partnerships or business development roles. Prior E-3 or H-1B sponsorship activity signals an employer already understands the process and has legal infrastructure in place.
Address specialty occupation proactively in applications
Some hiring managers incorrectly assume Director of Partnerships roles don't qualify for E-3 because they span sales and strategy. Your cover letter and interviews should clarify that the role requires specialized degree-level knowledge, not just general management experience.
Negotiate LCA filing into your offer timeline
The employer must file a certified LCA with the DOL before your consulate appointment can proceed. Build this into offer negotiations so your start date accounts for LCA processing time, which typically runs five to seven business days when filed correctly.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service for end-to-end support
Once you have an offer, use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle your LCA and visa paperwork from start to consulate appointment. This avoids the common mistake of employers filing an LCA with a wage level that doesn't match the seniority of a director-level role.
Prepare for nonimmigrant intent questions at the consulate
E-3 visas require demonstrating nonimmigrant intent. If your partnerships role involves equity compensation or long-term retention structures, be ready to explain your intent to return to Australia and keep supporting documentation showing Australian ties.

Find Director Of Partnerships JobsDirector Of Partnerships E-3 Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Director of Partnerships jobs with E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for Australian professionals seeking E-3 sponsorship roles in the U.S. You can filter by job title and visa type to surface employers actively open to E-3 sponsorship for partnerships and business development roles, rather than sorting through listings where sponsorship status is unclear or unlisted.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Director of Partnerships role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3?
Yes, provided the position requires at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as business, marketing, communications, or a related discipline. Roles where any degree qualifies regardless of field are harder to support. A well-written job description from your employer that ties the role's duties to specialized theoretical knowledge strengthens the specialty occupation case significantly.
How does the E-3 visa compare to the H-1B for Director of Partnerships roles?
For Australian nationals, the E-3 is almost always the better path. There's no lottery, no annual cap, and the application goes directly to a U.S. consulate in Australia rather than through USCIS. H-1B requires surviving a random selection process with roughly a one-in-four chance. E-3 processing can move from offer to visa stamp within a few weeks for a clean application.
Can I switch employers after starting work on an E-3 as a Director of Partnerships?
Yes, but each employer change requires a new LCA filed with the DOL and a new E-3 visa application reflecting the new employer's details. You cannot carry over your existing E-3 status to a new employer the way an H-1B holder can sometimes port under AC21. Plan for a processing gap if you're changing roles mid-status.
