E-3 Visa Authorization Specialist Jobs
Authorization Specialist roles in compliance, identity management, and access control qualify as E-3 specialty occupations when tied to a relevant bachelor's degree. Employers file the Labor Condition Application before your consulate appointment, making E-3 sponsorship more straightforward than most Australian professionals expect.

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as an Authorization Specialist
Frame your credentials around specialty occupation
Authorization Specialist roles span IT, financial compliance, and identity governance. Map your degree and experience to the specific technical or regulatory function you'll perform, since DOL evaluates whether the role genuinely requires that specialty-level qualification.
Target employers with active compliance infrastructure
Companies in regulated industries like banking, healthcare, and federal contracting hire Authorization Specialists regularly and already have HR teams familiar with LCA filings. A hiring manager who understands the process moves faster than one encountering E-3 sponsorship for the first time.
Search verified E-3 employers using Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate to find Authorization Specialist roles posted by employers with confirmed E-3 sponsorship history. Filtering by sponsorship track record cuts the time you'd otherwise spend screening roles that look relevant but won't clear compliance approval.
Clarify the LCA wage level during offer negotiation
Your offer salary must meet the prevailing wage DOL certifies for your role and location. Ask the employer which wage level they're filing at during negotiations, since a Level I or II determination could affect both your offer and how the role is classified.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to manage post-offer steps
Once you have an offer, the employer needs to complete the LCA through DOL's FLAG system before you can book your consulate appointment. Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service handles the LCA, DS-160, and consulate preparation so nothing stalls between offer and visa stamp.
Prepare evidence your role requires a specific degree field
Consular officers scrutinize whether Authorization Specialist duties require your particular degree discipline, not just any bachelor's degree. Bring your job description, offer letter, and degree transcripts showing coursework directly tied to the access control, compliance, or systems security function you'll perform.

Find Authorization Specialist JobsAuthorization Specialist E-3 Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Where can I find Authorization Specialist jobs with E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is the recommended starting point for Australians searching Authorization Specialist roles with confirmed E-3 sponsorship. General job boards don't filter by visa type or sponsorship history, so you end up cold-screening dozens of roles. Migrate Mate surfaces employers who have sponsored E-3 visas before, which significantly improves your chances of moving from application to offer.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does an Authorization Specialist role qualify as an E-3 specialty occupation?
Yes, provided the role is tied to a specific bachelor's degree field such as information systems, computer science, cybersecurity, or a compliance-related discipline. The key is that the position must theoretically and practically require that specialized degree. Roles described as general administration or where any bachelor's degree suffices can be harder to qualify, so the job description wording matters.
How does E-3 compare to H-1B for Authorization Specialist roles?
The E-3 is available year-round with no lottery, no cap backlog for Australian nationals, and an annual allocation of 10,500 visas that has never been fully used. H-1B requires lottery registration each March and selection rates have been under 30% in recent years. For an Australian Authorization Specialist with a qualifying offer, E-3 is a direct path where H-1B is a lottery.
Can I change employers while on an E-3 as an Authorization Specialist?
Yes, but each employer change requires a fresh LCA filed by the new employer and a new visa stamp from an Australian consulate or a U.S. consulate abroad. You can't simply transfer your E-3 status the way some other visa holders can port between employers. Give yourself enough lead time between your last day and your new start date to complete the consulate appointment.
