Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as a Finance Associate
Frame your Australian degree for U.S. employers
A three-year Australian bachelor's in finance or accounting is generally accepted as equivalent to a U.S. four-year degree for E-3 purposes. Prepare a credential evaluation letter in advance so employers aren't spooked by the format difference.
Target employers with active LCA filing histories
Finance Associate roles at banks, asset managers, and corporate treasury departments regularly file LCAs for specialty occupation workers. Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle your LCA and visa paperwork once you have an offer confirmed.
Search specifically for E-3 visa sponsorship roles
Many employers who sponsor H-1B holders will sponsor E-3 visas too, but won't advertise it. Search Migrate Mate by role and filter for E-3 sponsorship to find Finance Associate openings where employers already understand the process.
Get your offer letter right before the LCA stage
The DOL's Labor Condition Application requires a specific job title, worksite address, and wage level. Ask your employer to confirm these details before filing so the LCA matches your actual role and avoids delays at the consulate.
Clarify CFA or CPA progress with your employer early
If you're partway through a CFA or CPA qualification, document how your completed coursework and work experience satisfy the specialty occupation standard. USCIS looks at the totality of your credentials, not just your degree alone.
Prepare for prevailing wage questions at your interview
The E-3 requires your offered salary to meet the DOL prevailing wage for your role and location. Review the wage level your employer selected on the LCA before your consulate appointment so you can speak to it confidently if asked.

Find Finance Associate JobsFinance Associate E-3 Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Finance Associate jobs with E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for Australian professionals searching for E-3 visa sponsorship roles. You can filter Finance Associate positions by location, industry, and sponsorship history, so you're only seeing employers already set up to file an LCA and support your visa. Generic job boards don't filter by visa type, which wastes a lot of time at this stage.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Finance Associate role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3?
Yes, in most cases. A Finance Associate role qualifies when the position normally requires at least a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a closely related field. Roles in FP&A, corporate finance, investment analysis, and credit analysis typically meet this standard. Generalist roles where any degree is acceptable can be harder to support, so the job description wording matters.
How does the E-3 visa compare to H-1B for Finance Associate roles?
The E-3 has no annual cap and no lottery, so your employer can file at any point in the year and expect approval without competing in a random selection. The H-1B lottery runs once a year in March and has around a one-in-four selection rate. For Australian finance professionals, the E-3 is a far more predictable path to U.S. employment.
Can I switch Finance Associate employers after getting my E-3 visa?
Yes, but you need a new LCA and a new E-3 visa stamped for the new employer before you start work. The E-3 is employer-specific, so you can't simply transfer it. If you're already in the U.S., your new employer files a new LCA with the DOL and you attend a consulate appointment in Australia or a third country to get a new visa stamp.
