As part of a broader team, you collaborate with other technical program managers to ensure that work in your space aligns with work and plans of other teams across BDT and other organizations. You establish mechanisms for inspection and awareness of progress across cross cutting initiatives.
Data drives your “flywheel”. You analyze data to glean insights that drive experimentation. You leverage data such as service telemetry, user feedback, and industry trends to surface opportunities for improvement. You take what’s proven and partner with Amazon organizations to apply and scale it. You define, implement, and monitor metrics that track your progress.
You partner with Amazon’s business orgs to test hypotheses and deploy AI-based solutions to reduce friction and risk of errors in the ways that businesses use data.
You give feedback on narratives, contribute to strategy (e.g., OP1 planning), set goals, discuss weekly business metrics, and more.
You partner with Amazon’s PXT organization to evolve and optimize roles guidelines and org design best practices to align with the way businesses are evolving their practices around getting insights from their data.
You partner with engineering, human resources, legal, documentation, solution architecture, privacy, finance, and more to optimize usage of the Andes data lake for AI-based methodologies.

Frame your Australian credentials for U.S. employers
Your Australian three-year bachelor's degree meets the E-3 visa specialty occupation requirement. Translate your Tier 1 or Tier 2 insurance credentials and ANZIIF qualifications into U.S. equivalents like CPCU or CIC when writing your resume.
Target carriers and brokers with E-3 history
Large commercial carriers, national broking firms, and wholesale intermediaries file LCAs regularly. Search DOL's Office of Foreign Labor Certification disclosure data for E-3 LCA filings under 'insurance sales agents' to identify employers already familiar with the process.
Clarify the specialty occupation case before applying
Not every account manager role qualifies. Confirm the job description requires a specific degree field, not just any bachelor's degree. If the posting says 'degree preferred' rather than 'required,' ask the recruiter to tighten the language before your employer files the LCA.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service for your LCA and paperwork
After you receive a written offer, your employer must file a certified LCA with the DOL before your consulate appointment. Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to manage the LCA submission, DS-160, and supporting documents so nothing delays your start date.
Negotiate your offer against the prevailing wage threshold
Your employer must certify they'll pay at least the DOL prevailing wage for your role and location. Pull the relevant wage level from the OFLC wage library before your offer stage so you know the floor and can negotiate above it with confidence.
Prepare for nonimmigrant intent questions at your consulate interview
E-3 is a nonimmigrant visa, so consular officers will assess whether your ties to Australia are credible. Bring documentation of financial accounts, property, or family connections alongside your LCA and offer letter to address intent questions directly.
E-3 Visa Insurance Account Manager: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Insurance Account Manager jobs that offer E-3 visa sponsorship?
Search on Migrate Mate, which filters roles by E-3 sponsorship history so you're not applying blind. Most standard job boards don't distinguish between employers willing to sponsor E-3 visas and those that won't, which wastes time. Focusing on employers with prior LCA filings in the insurance sector gives you a realistic shortlist.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does an Insurance Account Manager role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3?
It depends on how the role is written. A role requiring a bachelor's degree specifically in business, finance, risk management, or a related field qualifies. A generic account manager posting that accepts any degree or substitutes experience freely may not meet the specialty occupation standard. Ask your employer to confirm the degree field is specified in the official job description before the LCA is filed with the DOL.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for Insurance Account Manager roles?
The E-3 has no lottery and no annual cap, so you can start at any point in the year once you have an offer and a certified LCA. The H-1B visa has an 85,000-slot annual cap with a lottery, meaning most applicants wait up to a year or miss out entirely. For Australian nationals, the E-3 is a faster and more predictable path to working in the U.S. insurance market.
Can I change employers or move to a different insurance firm on an E-3?
Yes, but each new employer must file a fresh LCA and you'll need a new visa stamp if yours is tied to your previous employer. There's no portability provision like AC21 for H-1B holders. Plan your transition carefully: your E-3 status is employer-specific, so avoid resigning before the new LCA is certified and your documentation is ready.
