Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as a Junior Analyst
Frame your Australian degree for U.S. employers
A three-year Australian bachelor's degree is generally accepted as equivalent to a four-year U.S. degree for E-3 purposes. Include your transcript and, if your employer's HR team questions equivalency, request a credential evaluation from a USCIS-accepted evaluation service before your offer letter is finalized.
Target employers with active LCA filing history
Search DOL's Office of Foreign Labor Certification disclosure data to identify companies that have filed Labor Condition Applications for analyst roles. Employers already familiar with the LCA process move faster and are less likely to stall your offer over unfamiliar paperwork.
Clarify specialty occupation status early in interviews
Junior Analyst roles must require a bachelor's degree in a specific field, not just any degree, to qualify as a specialty occupation. If the job description says 'bachelor's preferred' rather than 'required,' ask the hiring manager to confirm the role's degree requirement before accepting an offer.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service for your LCA and paperwork
Once you have an offer, use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle your LCA submission to DOL, prepare your DS-160, and coordinate your consulate appointment. This avoids the common delay of employers misclassifying the role or submitting an incomplete LCA.
Negotiate your start date around LCA certification timing
The DOL certifies most LCAs within seven business days, but consulate appointment slots can add two to eight weeks depending on the city. Build that window into your start date negotiation so your employer doesn't withdraw the offer assuming you can begin immediately.
Confirm your employer's E-Verify enrollment before signing
E-Verify enrollment isn't required for all E-3 employers, but some states mandate it for companies above a certain size. Confirm your employer's enrollment status with HR before signing, since onboarding delays tied to E-Verify discrepancies can affect your first day of work authorization.

Find Junior Analyst JobsJunior Analyst E-3 Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Junior Analyst jobs that offer E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for Australian professionals searching for U.S. roles with E-3 sponsorship. Filtering by visa type saves you from applying to companies that only hire locally or sponsor H-1B only. Look for analyst postings at consulting firms, financial services companies, and data-focused tech employers, as these industries have the strongest LCA filing history for entry-level analyst positions.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Junior Analyst role actually qualify as an E-3 specialty occupation?
It depends on how the role is defined. A Junior Analyst position qualifies when the employer can demonstrate the job normally requires a bachelor's degree in a specific field, such as finance, economics, statistics, or computer science. Generalist roles where any bachelor's degree is acceptable may not clear the specialty occupation threshold, so review the job description carefully before applying.
How does the E-3 visa compare to H-1B for Junior Analyst roles?
The E-3 has a 10,500 annual allocation that has never been fully used, so there's no lottery and no annual wait. H-1B requires registration in a random lottery with roughly a one-in-four selection rate. For Australian nationals, the E-3 means a confirmed path to starting a Junior Analyst role in the U.S. rather than waiting on lottery results that may not come through.
Can I change employers or get promoted while on an E-3 as a Junior Analyst?
Yes, but each employer change requires a new LCA and either a new visa stamp or an amended status, depending on whether you're inside or outside the U.S. A promotion to a materially different role, such as moving from Junior Analyst to Senior Analyst with different duties, also typically requires an updated LCA to reflect the new position's prevailing wage.
