E-3 Visa Strategic Sourcing Manager Jobs
Strategic Sourcing Manager roles qualify for E-3 visa sponsorship as specialty occupations requiring a bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, or a related field. Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as a Strategic Sourcing Manager
Align your credentials to U.S. specialty occupation standards
Your Australian bachelor's degree is accepted as equivalent to a U.S. four-year degree, but your offer letter must tie your sourcing role to that specific field of study. A job description saying 'degree preferred' rather than 'required' can jeopardize E-3 visa eligibility.
Target employers with active LCA filing history
Search DOL's Office of Foreign Labor Certification disclosure data to identify companies that have previously filed Labor Condition Applications for sourcing or procurement roles. Past LCA activity signals a hiring team that already understands the E-3 process.
Frame your sourcing expertise for global procurement roles
U.S. employers in manufacturing, tech, and retail actively recruit Australians with Asia-Pacific supplier networks. Positioning your sourcing experience around cross-border category management and supplier diversification makes you a stronger candidate for sponsorship conversations.
Confirm your employer's LCA wage level before accepting an offer
The DOL requires your offered salary to meet the prevailing wage for your job title and location. Wage Level I applies to entry roles; Level III or IV reflects senior strategic sourcing positions. Mismatched wage levels delay LCA certification and push back your start date.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to manage your paperwork
Once you have an offer, Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service handles your LCA filing with the DOL, prepares your DS-160, and gets you ready for your consulate appointment in Sydney, Melbourne, or Perth. You focus on onboarding; the filing runs in parallel.
Book your consulate appointment before your offer start date
Australian consulate appointment availability varies by city and season. Build at least four to six weeks between your offer acceptance and your target start date so your employer can certify the LCA before you schedule the interview slot.
E-3 Visa Strategic Sourcing Manager: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Strategic Sourcing Manager jobs with E-3 sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to search for Strategic Sourcing Manager roles where employers are open to E-3 sponsorship. Standard job boards rarely filter by visa type, so you end up applying blind. Migrate Mate surfaces roles from employers with active U.S. work visa filing history, saving you the guesswork of cold outreach to companies that won't sponsor.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Strategic Sourcing Manager role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3?
Yes, in most cases. USCIS treats Strategic Sourcing Manager as a specialty occupation when the role requires a bachelor's degree or higher in supply chain management, business, or a related field, and the job duties involve complex category strategy, supplier negotiations, or cross-functional procurement. Generic purchasing or buyer roles without a degree requirement can struggle to qualify, so your offer letter's job description matters.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for a Strategic Sourcing Manager?
The E-3 has no annual lottery and no cap, so you can apply any time of year with a job offer in hand. The H-1B has an 85,000-slot annual cap and a randomized lottery, meaning qualified applicants are regularly rejected without review. For an Australian sourcing professional, the E-3 is a direct path to a U.S. role without the year-long wait that H-1B applicants typically face.
Can I change employers or get promoted while on an E-3 as a Strategic Sourcing Manager?
Changing employers requires your new company to file a fresh LCA with the DOL and certify a new E-3 before you start. Promotions within the same employer that materially change your job duties or title may also require an updated LCA, particularly if the new role sits in a different Standard Occupational Classification code. Don't assume your existing E-3 covers a new position automatically.
