Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as a Security Manager
Align your credentials to U.S. specialty occupation standards
Your Australian security management qualifications must map to a U.S. bachelor's-level specialty occupation. A degree in criminology, security management, or emergency management strengthens your E-3 visa eligibility far more than certifications alone.
Target employers with existing E-3 filing history
Search DOL Labor Condition Application disclosure data to find employers who have previously sponsored E-3 workers in management roles. These employers already understand the LCA process and won't need convincing that sponsorship is straightforward.
Find Security Manager roles through Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate to search Security Manager positions filtered by E-3 sponsorship history. You'll see which employers have filed LCAs for similar roles, saving you from applying to companies that haven't sponsored before.
Prepare your offer letter before the LCA is filed
Your employer needs a specific job description and work location before filing the Labor Condition Application with DOL. Have a draft offer letter ready early so the LCA can accurately reflect your duties, worksite, and prevailing wage classification.
Clarify your security clearance portability with your employer
Australian government clearances don't transfer to U.S. federal or contractor roles. If the position requires a U.S. clearance, confirm with your employer whether sponsorship is contingent on obtaining one, as this affects your E-3 timeline.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service for your LCA and consulate prep
Once you have an offer, Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service handles your LCA submission, DS-160, and consulate appointment documentation end-to-end, reducing the risk of errors that could delay your interview or require resubmission.
E-3 Visa Security Manager: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Security Manager jobs with E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to search Security Manager roles filtered by E-3 sponsorship. It surfaces employers with LCA filing history for security and management roles, so you're not cold-applying to companies that have never navigated Australian visa sponsorship before.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Security Manager role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3?
Yes, if the position normally requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific field such as security management, criminology, or emergency management. A generic security role that accepts any degree, or no degree at all, may not meet the specialty occupation standard USCIS applies. Your employer's job description must reflect that the degree requirement is standard for the position.
How does the E-3 visa compare to H-1B for Security Manager roles?
The E-3 has no annual cap and no lottery, so you can apply at any point in the year once you have a job offer. The H-1B visa is capped at 85,000 per year and subject to a random lottery that selects roughly one in four registrants. For Australian security professionals, the E-3 is a significantly more reliable path to U.S. employment.
Can I change employers or work locations after entering the U.S. on an E-3?
Changing employers requires your new employer to file a fresh LCA and for you to either obtain a new E-3 visa stamp or, in some cases, apply for a change of status. Working at a different location from the one listed on your LCA can also trigger a new filing requirement, particularly if the site is in a different metropolitan area.
