E-3 Visa QA Specialist Jobs
QA Specialist roles in software, medical devices, and manufacturing regularly qualify for E-3 visa sponsorship because they meet the specialty occupation standard requiring a relevant bachelor's degree. The E-3 has no lottery and no annual cap, so Australian professionals can pursue U.S. opportunities year-round without the H-1B waitlist.

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as a QA Specialist
Document your degree field alignment clearly
Your Australian bachelor's degree must map directly to the QA Specialist role, not just to a broad STEM category. A degree in engineering, computer science, or applied sciences strengthens the specialty occupation case significantly more than a general business credential.
Target employers with active LCA filing history
Search DOL's Office of Foreign Labor Certification disclosure data to find companies that have previously filed LCAs for QA or quality engineering roles. Employers already familiar with the LCA process move faster and ask fewer procedural questions during offer negotiations.
Clarify the job description before signing anything
E-3 approval depends on the role meeting specialty occupation standards. Ask your hiring manager to confirm the job description explicitly requires a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, not just that one is preferred. That distinction can determine whether USCIS accepts the petition.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service for your LCA
The LCA must be certified by DOL before your visa interview. Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle your LCA and visa paperwork so the employer doesn't need to coordinate separate legal counsel, which often delays or derails offers for smaller companies.
Confirm the employer's E-Verify enrollment status early
Some federal contractors are legally required to use E-Verify for all new hires. If your prospective employer is subject to this requirement, confirm enrollment before your start date to avoid employment authorization delays on day one.
Build your credential equivalency case before interviews
An Australian three-year bachelor's degree is generally accepted as equivalent to a U.S. four-year degree for E-3 purposes. Having a credential evaluation letter prepared in advance removes a common employer hesitation that surfaces late in the offer process.

Find QA Specialist JobsQA Specialist E-3 Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find QA Specialist jobs with E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search. It surfaces QA Specialist roles at U.S. employers who have E-3 or equivalent sponsorship history, so you're not cold-applying to companies that have never navigated the process. Filtering by role and visa type saves significant time compared to general job searches where sponsorship willingness is rarely disclosed upfront.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a QA Specialist role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3?
Yes, in most cases. USCIS evaluates whether the position normally requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific field such as engineering, computer science, or applied sciences. Roles in software QA, medical device quality assurance, and manufacturing quality engineering consistently meet this standard. Roles framed as general inspection or technician work without a degree requirement are less straightforward and may require additional documentation.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for QA Specialist roles?
For Australian nationals, the E-3 is substantially more practical. There's no lottery, no annual cap, and you can apply at any consulate in Australia year-round. The H-1B requires surviving a randomized lottery with roughly a one-in-four selection rate. Both visas require the same specialty occupation standard and an employer-sponsored LCA, but the E-3 timeline from offer to visa stamp is typically weeks rather than the months-long uncertainty of the H-1B registration cycle.
Can I change QA Specialist employers while on an E-3 visa?
Yes, but you need a new E-3 visa tied to the new employer before starting work. Unlike some other visa categories, E-3 status is employer-specific. Your new employer files a fresh LCA with DOL and you attend another consular interview in Australia. There's no portability provision, so timing your transition carefully around your existing visa expiration and interview availability matters.
