Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as a QA Manager
Align your credentials to specialty occupation standards
U.S. employers filing an LCA for a QA Manager role must show the position requires a specific bachelor's degree, not just any degree. Document how your Australian qualification maps to the exact field the role demands before you start applying.
Target companies with active quality compliance functions
Medical device, aerospace, pharmaceutical, and semiconductor manufacturers routinely hire QA Managers and have existing DOL filing infrastructure. Prioritize employers in regulated industries where quality assurance is a core business function, not a support role.
Request the LCA before accepting an offer
The Labor Condition Application must be certified by DOL before your visa application can proceed. Confirm your employer understands this sequence and has a timeline for filing, so you're not waiting on paperwork after you've already resigned.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle your LCA and visa paperwork
Once you have a signed offer letter, Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service manages the entire process from LCA submission through consulate preparation, reducing the risk of documentation errors that delay your start date.
Prepare for specialty occupation scrutiny at your interview
Consular officers sometimes question whether a QA Manager role genuinely requires a degree rather than experience alone. Bring your offer letter, job description, and degree credentials to the interview and be ready to explain the technical or regulatory complexity your role involves.

Find QA Manager JobsQA Manager E-3 Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find QA Manager jobs with E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for Australian professionals searching for U.S. roles with E-3 sponsorship, so you can filter by job title and see employers who have filed LCAs for quality and engineering positions. Searching on a general job board won't tell you whether an employer has E-3 filing experience or infrastructure in place.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a QA Manager role qualify as a specialty occupation for E-3 purposes?
It can, but it depends on how the position is defined. A QA Manager role qualifies if the employer can demonstrate the job normally requires a bachelor's degree in a specific field, such as engineering, life sciences, or quality systems. Roles described as requiring 'a degree or equivalent experience' are more likely to face scrutiny at the consulate.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for QA Manager roles?
The E-3 has no lottery and no annual cap, so you're not competing for a limited number of slots the way H-1B applicants are. You can apply at any time of year as long as you have a qualifying job offer and a certified LCA. The H-1B is subject to an annual cap of 85,000 and a randomised selection process, which adds significant uncertainty for both you and your employer.
Can I change employers after starting work on an E-3 as a QA Manager?
Yes, but your E-3 is tied to your specific employer and job. If you move to a new company, your new employer must file a fresh LCA with DOL and you'll need to apply for a new E-3 visa, typically at a U.S. consulate in Australia. You cannot transfer your existing E-3 the way some other visa categories allow.
