Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as a Senior Cloud Solutions Architect
Align your credentials to specialty occupation standards
USCIS requires that your degree field directly relates to cloud architecture work. A computer science or engineering degree is straightforward, but an unrelated bachelor's needs supporting evidence like transcripts and a credential evaluation showing equivalency to a U.S. four-year degree.
Target employers with active LCA filing history
Cloud architecture roles at consulting firms, hyperscaler partners, and enterprise software companies generate frequent LCA filings. Filtering by DOL's Office of Foreign Labor Certification disclosure data lets you identify which employers have recently sponsored similar technical roles.
Position your Australian cloud certifications strategically
AWS, Azure, and GCP certifications earned in Australia carry the same weight as U.S.-issued ones, but hiring managers may not automatically connect them to E-3 eligibility. Frame your certifications alongside your degree in your application to make the specialty occupation case immediately clear.
Clarify the LCA timeline with your prospective employer
Many U.S. employers hiring cloud architects haven't filed E-3 LCAs before and underestimate the lead time. The DOL typically certifies LCAs within seven business days, so the process is fast, but your offer letter and role description need to be finalized before filing can begin.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service for the full process
Once you have an offer, Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service handles your LCA submission, DS-160, and consulate preparation end-to-end. This is especially useful for cloud architects whose employers are sponsoring an E-3 for the first time and need guided support through each filing step.
Prepare for specialty occupation scrutiny at the consulate
Consular officers occasionally probe whether a cloud architect role genuinely requires a specific degree rather than general IT experience. Bring your offer letter, a role description naming required technical skills, and your academic transcripts to document the direct connection between your qualification and the position.

Find Senior Cloud Solutions Architect JobsSenior Cloud Solutions Architect E-3 Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Senior Cloud Solutions Architect jobs that offer E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically to surface these roles. You can filter by job title and E-3 sponsorship history to find employers who have demonstrated willingness to file LCAs for Australian professionals. That's a faster starting point than sorting through general job listings where sponsorship willingness is rarely stated upfront.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Senior Cloud Solutions Architect role qualify as a specialty occupation for E-3 purposes?
Yes. Cloud solutions architecture requires a theoretical and practical application of highly specialized knowledge, typically in computer science, information systems, or engineering. The role meets USCIS's specialty occupation definition because a bachelor's degree in a specific technical field is a standard industry requirement, not just a preference.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for Australian cloud architects?
The E-3 has a 10,500 annual allocation that has never been exhausted, so there's no lottery and no waitlist. The H-1B runs a random selection lottery with significantly more registrants than available slots each year. For an Australian citizen with a qualifying cloud architecture role and degree, the E-3 is a direct path the H-1B cannot offer.
Can I switch employers while on an E-3 as a cloud architect?
Yes, but your new employer must file a fresh LCA and you'll need a new E-3 visa stamp or an amended status approval before starting work. There's no E-3 portability provision equivalent to H-1B's AC21, so the timing of your job change relative to your current visa validity matters for avoiding a gap in authorization.
