About The Team
The Outside Account Management team at DoorDash partners with restaurant merchants to help them grow simply and profitable on the platform. Our mission is to support merchants throughout their journey – ensuring a positive experience while also helping them unlock meaningful growth opportunities. We work closely with merchants to understand their goals, solve operational challenges, and recommend growth strategies that fit their business – balancing thoughtful partnership with commercial impact.
About The Role
As a Strategic Partner Manager II (SPM), you will own and grow relationships with a portfolio of SMB restaurant partners, operating with a high degree of autonomy and strategic judgment. You’ll lead complex, high-impact partnerships focused on driving long-term growth, profitability, and retention for merchants on the DoorDash platform. In this role, you’ll move beyond day-to-day account management to guide more strategic merchant conversations—helping partners think holistically about growth, operations, and how to scale their business with DoorDash. You’ll proactively adapt account plans as opportunities and challenges emerge, identify and address risks early, and consistently drive measurable outcomes across your book of business. Beyond your own accounts, you’ll play an influential role across the team — serving as a voice of the merchant internally, shaping cross-functional initiatives, and sharing best practices that elevate how DoorDash partners with restaurants at scale. You’ll report to a regional manager within Outside Account Management. We expect this role to be flexible, with time split between traveling to merchants and additional flexibility to work remotely from home or a DoorDash office.
You’re Excited About This Opportunity Because You Will…
- Own and grow strategic partnerships: Manage a portfolio of SMB restaurant partners, consistently driving measurable growth, retention, and satisfaction
- Lead advanced merchant strategy: Conduct high-impact business reviews focused on larger-scale growth strategies, profitability, and long-term success

- Drive expansion and optimization: Recommend and sell DoorDash products that support merchant growth, efficiency, and brand perception
- Influence cross-functionally: Partner with Product, Operations, Sales, and other teams—driving action and outcomes without relying on manager escalation
- Represent the merchant internally: Surface meaningful merchant insights each quarter to inform product improvements, GTM strategy, and internal initiatives
- Elevate the team: Share best practices, provide feedback on decks and negotiation strategy, and support the development of Partner Managers
We’re Excited About You Because You Have…
- 4+ years of experience in account management, customer success, or post-sales roles with increasing scope and autonomy
- Proven track record of driving measurable growth and retention across the majority of a book of business
- Strong executive presence with the ability to command a room, influence without authority, and deliver compelling presentations
- Deep understanding of the restaurant and hospitality industry, including merchant P&L and unit economics

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as a Strategic Partner Manager
Frame your degree against the role
Consular officers assess whether your degree field directly supports the Strategic Partner Manager function. A business, marketing, or communications degree strengthens your case; a mismatched discipline needs a credential evaluation letter explaining the connection.
Target employers with active LCA histories
Search the DOL's Office of Foreign Labor Certification disclosure data for companies that have filed LCAs for partnership or business development roles. Repeat filings signal an established sponsorship process, meaning less internal education required from you.
Search E-3 sponsorship roles on Migrate Mate
Migrate Mate filters employer listings by E-3 visa sponsorship history, so you're not cold-applying to companies unfamiliar with the visa. Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle your LCA and visa paperwork once an offer is confirmed.
Get your employer to file the LCA early
The LCA must be DOL-certified before you can book your consulate appointment. Push your hiring manager to initiate this step immediately after offer acceptance, as delays here directly push out your start date by weeks.
Prepare a specialty occupation letter proactively
Ask your employer to draft a support letter explaining why a Strategic Partner Manager role requires at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field. Consular officers occasionally scrutinize broad business titles, and a detailed letter prevents unnecessary administrative processing.
Clarify your Australian credential equivalency upfront
Australian three-year bachelor's degrees are generally accepted as equivalent to U.S. four-year degrees under E-3 adjudication. If your degree is sub-bachelor's level, commission a credential evaluation through a USCIS-recognized evaluator before applying.
E-3 Visa Strategic Partner Manager: Frequently Asked Questions
Where can I find Strategic Partner Manager jobs with E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is the recommended way to search for Strategic Partner Manager roles where employers are already open to E-3 sponsorship. Because the E-3 requires employer-initiated LCA filing, targeting companies with prior sponsorship history saves significant time and avoids employers who decline to engage with the process at all.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Strategic Partner Manager role qualify as an E-3 specialty occupation?
Yes, provided the position requires at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as business administration, marketing, or communications, and the employer's job description reflects that requirement. Broad titles like this attract occasional consular scrutiny, so your employer's offer letter and support documentation need to explicitly state the degree requirement and explain why the role demands that level of specialized knowledge.
How does the E-3 visa compare to the H-1B for Strategic Partner Manager roles?
The E-3 has a 10,500 annual cap that has never been fully used, so there's no lottery and no waiting period. H-1B visa petitions for the same role require surviving an oversubscribed lottery before any filing can begin. For an Australian professional with a qualifying offer, the E-3 gets you to a consulate appointment in weeks rather than leaving your start date dependent on lottery selection.
What happens to my E-3 status if my employer changes my role or I switch companies?
The E-3 is employer and role specific. If your job title changes substantially or you move to a new company, your employer must file a new LCA with the DOL for the updated role. Changing employers before a new LCA is certified creates a gap in authorized employment, so initiate the new filing as soon as an offer is in writing.
