Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as a Vendor Risk Management
Frame your credentials around U.S. specialty occupation standards
USCIS requires your degree to directly relate to Vendor Risk Management duties. A three-year Australian bachelor's in finance, information systems, or business risk is generally accepted as equivalent to a four-year U.S. degree, document that equivalency before your job search begins.
Target employers with active third-party risk programs
Financial institutions, healthcare systems, and large technology companies run formal vendor risk functions that justify E-3 sponsorship. Filter for organizations subject to OCC, FFIEC, or SOC 2 compliance obligations, they treat Vendor Risk Management as a defined specialty, not a general administrative role.
Use Migrate Mate to find sponsoring employers
Search Migrate Mate for Vendor Risk Management roles at companies with confirmed E-3 sponsorship history. The platform surfaces employers already familiar with the visa process, cutting the time you spend educating hiring managers about Australian-specific requirements.
Prepare your LCA documentation before the offer stage
Your employer files the Labor Condition Application with DOL before your visa application can proceed. Understanding the prevailing wage level for your specific job zone and metropolitan area lets you verify the offer meets LCA certification requirements, and flags problems before you've accepted.
Clarify the employer's E-3 experience during interviews
Ask directly whether the employer has sponsored E-3 visas before and who manages the process internally. A company unfamiliar with E-3 may conflate it with H-1B, causing avoidable delays. Explaining that there's no lottery and no employer registration fee often accelerates their decision.
Streamline filing by using Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service
Once you have an offer, use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle your LCA and visa paperwork end-to-end. This matters for Vendor Risk roles because job descriptions must precisely reflect specialty occupation duties, generic filing approaches often produce LCAs that underdescribe the role.

Find Vendor Risk Management JobsVendor Risk Management E-3 Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Vendor Risk Management jobs that offer E-3 visa sponsorship?
Search Migrate Mate to browse Vendor Risk Management roles at employers with E-3 sponsorship history. Most general job boards don't filter by visa type, so you can waste weeks on applications at companies that won't sponsor. Migrate Mate surfaces roles where Australian candidates and E-3 requirements are already understood by the hiring team.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does Vendor Risk Management qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3 visa?
Yes, provided the role requires a bachelor's degree in a directly related field such as finance, information systems, risk management, or business administration. Roles that accept any degree or treat the position as general management are harder to support. The more the job description references specific frameworks like TPRM, ISO 27001, or SOC 2, the stronger the specialty occupation case.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for Vendor Risk Management professionals?
The E-3 is available only to Australian citizens and has no lottery, you can apply any time of year and reapply immediately if denied. The H-1B runs on an annual lottery with roughly one-in-four selection odds. For Vendor Risk Management roles, where demand is steady but not concentrated in a single hiring season, the E-3's year-round availability is a practical advantage the H-1B can't match.
Can I switch Vendor Risk Management employers while on an E-3 visa?
Yes, but you need a new LCA certified by DOL and a new visa stamp for the incoming employer before starting work. Unlike some visa categories, E-3 status doesn't port automatically between employers. If your new role shifts from, say, operational vendor risk to a broader compliance function, your employer's job description must still satisfy specialty occupation requirements under the revised duties.
