E-3 Visa Senior Simulation Engineer Jobs
Senior Simulation Engineer roles in defense, aerospace, and automotive qualify as E-3 specialty occupations, making them strong candidates for visa sponsorship. The E-3 has no lottery and no annual cap, so Australian engineers can apply as soon as they secure a qualifying offer from a U.S. employer.

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as a Senior Simulation Engineer
Translate your Australian credentials for U.S. hiring managers
U.S. employers often don't recognize Australian university nomenclature. Get your degree assessed by a DOL-recognized credential evaluation service before applying, and explicitly map your qualifications to the E-3 specialty occupation standard in your resume.
Target defense contractors with active simulation programs
Employers in aerospace, defense, and automotive sectors file LCAs regularly for simulation roles. Filter DOL's OFLC disclosure data by SOC code 17-2141 to identify which companies have sponsored similar roles in the last 12 months.
Request LCA filing before accepting a final offer
The employer must file and receive a certified LCA from DOL before your visa application can proceed. Confirm your prospective employer understands this timeline and is prepared to initiate the DOL filing within days of your verbal acceptance.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to manage your paperwork
Simulation Engineer roles require precise LCA job descriptions that match your actual duties. Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service handles the LCA, DS-160, and consulate preparation end-to-end, reducing the risk of a mismatch that triggers an administrative delay.
Address simulation software proficiency in your visa documentation
Consular officers assess whether your role genuinely requires a specialized degree. Your DS-160 supporting materials should clearly tie your expertise in tools like MATLAB, ANSYS, or specialized modeling platforms directly to the theoretical knowledge your degree provides.
Plan your consulate appointment around project start dates
E-3 visas are issued for up to two years but consulate appointment availability varies by location and season. Book your Australian consulate slot as soon as your LCA is certified to avoid a gap between your offer date and your actual start date.

Find Senior Simulation Engineer JobsSenior Simulation Engineer E-3 Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Where can I find Senior Simulation Engineer jobs with E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for Australian professionals seeking U.S. roles with E-3 sponsorship. Rather than filtering through general job boards that mix visa statuses, Migrate Mate surfaces employers with active E-3 filing history for engineering roles, so you're applying to companies that already understand the process.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Senior Simulation Engineer role qualify as an E-3 specialty occupation?
Yes, in most cases. The E-3 specialty occupation standard requires that the position normally requires at least a bachelor's degree in a specific technical field. Simulation engineering roles tied to aerospace, defense, or automotive applications typically satisfy this because they require specialized knowledge in physics, mechanical engineering, or computer science. Generic simulation or data modeling roles with looser degree requirements may face more scrutiny at the consulate.
How does the E-3 visa compare to the H-1B for Senior Simulation Engineer roles?
The E-3 is available only to Australian nationals, but it has significant structural advantages over the H-1B for this role. There's no lottery and no annual cap, so your employer can file at any time and you can start as soon as your visa is issued. The H-1B has a 65,000 annual cap with a randomized lottery, meaning a qualified simulation engineer could be denied a slot despite a valid job offer.
Can I switch simulation engineering employers after arriving on an E-3?
Yes, but your E-3 status is tied to your specific employer and the certified LCA they filed. If you change employers, the new company must file a fresh LCA with DOL and you'll need a new E-3 visa, which typically means returning to Australia for a consulate appointment. Starting that process before your last day with your current employer avoids an authorization gap.
