Video Producer roles qualify for E-3 visa sponsorship when the position requires a bachelor's degree in film, media production, or a closely related field. Our fast-growing customer base includes hundreds of modern software companies building the next generation of enterprise-ready products.
About The Role
WorkOS is investing heavily in video. From quarterly events like MCP Night — SF's premier AI gathering, drawing 700+ engineering leaders, founders, and builders — to customer spotlights, product demos, podcasts, platform ads, and YouTube shorts, video is one of our highest-leverage surfaces for reaching developers, and we're shipping more of it every quarter. We're hiring a full-time Video Producer to own this surface end-to-end. You'll run multicam livestream productions out of our SF office, edit daily across YouTube, X, and LinkedIn, coordinate with external capture and motion vendors, and turn raw footage into content developers actually want to watch. This is a craft role for someone who cares about every cut and frame, and who treats AI-native workflow design as a worldview rather than a checklist.
Responsibilities:
- Run multicam livestream productions for live events shot from our SF office — directing, switching, recording, and delivering edited cuts after
- Edit and upload daily across YouTube, X, LinkedIn, and our website — thumbnails, titles, descriptions, scheduling
- Ship through quarterly launch weeks — daily product videos across YouTube, X, and LinkedIn
- Coordinate external vendors — live event capture crews, motion graphics shops, and our podcast capture/edit partner
- Produce platform ad cuts for Google, LinkedIn, YouTube, X, and Reddit (mostly editing and publish work; we use VidIQ for performance signals)
- Build and maintain templates, lower thirds, transitions, and brand assets so output scales without chaos
- Push the AI-native workflow — extend what's working, evaluate new tools as they ship
- Help shape the WorkOS video aesthetic — opinionated, technical, never corporate
Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years of video production and editing experience, with a portfolio that shows range across short-form, long-form, and live multicam
- Hands-on experience directing multicam livestream productions
- Expert in Final Cut Pro or DaVinci Resolve (we use both), plus After Effects
- Have shipped end-to-end AI-video pipelines using tools like ElevenLabs, Creatomate, Eddie.ai, Descript, Runway, Topaz Labs, Captions, OpusClip, Nano Banana Pro, and Veo 3
- Comfort with our broader stack: Frame.io, Lawn, Screen Studio, Restream, Artlist, MotionVFX, Motion Array, and Claude
- A high bar for craft. You notice the bad cut, the off-beat sync, the lazy transition, and you fix it
- Speed without sacrificing quality. Daily cadence is the steady state; launch weeks compress that further
- Strong instincts for what works on YouTube vs. X vs. LinkedIn
- Self-directed. You build the systems that let you ship daily
- A taste for developer tools content. You don't need to be an engineer, but you need to find this world interesting
Preferred Qualifications:
- Custom motion graphics chops — building from scratch in After Effects, not just dropping in plugins. Meaningful differentiator
- Background in 3D (Cinema 4D, Blender)
- Experience producing video for developer tools, infrastructure, or technical B2B companies
- Shipped video for launch weeks, product launches, or developer events
- A YouTube channel, Vimeo portfolio, or body of work that speaks for itself
Logistics:
- Location: SF-based, in-office. Multicam livestream production requires it. Occasional time at our NYC office
- Travel: 3–4 on-site events per year, including East Coast and international

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as a Video Producer
Frame your reel for U.S. specialty occupation standards
Your portfolio needs to demonstrate that a bachelor's degree in film or media production is a standard entry requirement for the role, not just preferred. Highlight projects that reflect the technical and creative depth expected at a professional production level.
Target production companies with active LCA histories
Search the DOL's Foreign Labor Application Gateway for certified LCAs filed under job titles like Video Producer, Content Producer, or Digital Media Producer. Companies with prior certifications already understand the E-3 visa process, which reduces friction during offer negotiations.
Address specialty occupation proactively in your cover letter
Many U.S. employers post Video Producer roles without degree requirements listed. If a job ad says 'preferred,' ask the hiring manager whether a degree is actually required to perform the work, since USCIS requires a specific degree nexus to approve the E-3.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle your LCA and visa paperwork
Once you have an offer, the employer must file a certified LCA with DOL before your consulate appointment. Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service manages the LCA, DS-160, and consulate preparation end-to-end so filing errors don't delay your start date.
Negotiate your start date around LCA certification timelines
DOL typically certifies LCAs within seven business days, but your employer also needs time to prepare supporting documentation. Build at least three to four weeks between your verbal offer and your proposed start date to allow for filing and consulate scheduling.
Verify your Australian degree equivalency before interviewing
Australian three-year bachelor's degrees are generally accepted as equivalent to U.S. four-year degrees for E-3 purposes, but some employers will ask for written confirmation. Having a credential evaluation ready from a recognized agency prevents last-minute delays after an offer is made.
E-3 Visa Video Producer: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Video Producer jobs with E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for Australian professionals searching for U.S. roles that qualify for E-3 sponsorship. You can filter by job title and see which employers have filed LCAs for Video Producer and related media production roles, so you're targeting companies that already understand the E-3 process rather than educating employers from scratch.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Video Producer role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3?
Yes, provided the position genuinely requires a bachelor's degree or higher in film production, media, communications, or a closely related field as a standard and normal requirement. Roles where any degree is accepted, or where experience alone is sufficient, may not satisfy USCIS's specialty occupation definition. The degree must have a direct relationship to the duties performed.
How does the E-3 visa compare to the H-1B for Video Producer roles?
The E-3 is available only to Australian citizens, but it has a significant practical advantage: no lottery. H-1B visa registration is capped at 85,000 per year with a randomized selection process, meaning you can be qualified and still not get selected. The E-3 has a 10,500 annual allocation that has never been fully used, so a qualifying Video Producer role and a valid job offer are effectively sufficient to proceed.
Can I switch Video Producer employers while on an E-3 visa?
Yes, but you need a new LCA certified by DOL and a new E-3 visa issued for the new employer before you start working for them. Unlike some other visa categories, E-3 status is employer-specific. If your current visa stamp still has validity, you may be able to use it for reentry after obtaining a new LCA, but the new employer must be on record before you begin work.
