How do I get an entry level ecommerce job?
Entry level ecommerce employers look for candidates who can show hands-on results, even from small projects. Build a portfolio that includes a sample product listing, a basic ad campaign, or an analytics report. Familiarity with platforms like Shopify or Amazon Seller Central, combined with a working knowledge of Google Analytics, gives new candidates a clear edge at this stage.
Which companies hire entry level ecommerces?
Companies hiring entry level ecommerces right now include Pattern, Walmart, and Tapestry, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Hiring at this level comes from a mix of direct-to-consumer brands, large retailers expanding their online presence, and digital agencies that manage ecommerce accounts for multiple clients.
Are there remote entry level ecommerce jobs?
Yes, and a meaningful share of openings are fully remote or hybrid. About 53% of entry level ecommerce openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting how much of this work is platform-based and tool-driven. On-site roles still exist, particularly at brands with warehouse or retail operations tied to their online store.
Are these new grad ecommerce jobs?
Yes, these listings include new grad, recent graduate, and junior roles alongside other entry level openings. A posting is new-grad friendly when it welcomes zero to two years of experience, accepts internship work or coursework as a substitute for full-time history, or invites candidates to submit a portfolio in place of a long resume. Many employers at this level are actively recruiting from recent graduating classes.
