Mid Level Education Consultant Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a mid level education consultant job?
Position yourself around ownership: highlight projects you led from design through delivery, not just tasks you completed. Applications that name specific outcomes, such as improved student outcomes, scaled programs, or client retention, get attention at this level. Tailor your resume to show you can work independently, manage stakeholder relationships, and make decisions without constant direction.
Which companies hire mid level education consultants?
Companies hiring mid level education consultants right now include Fidelity Investments, University of New Mexico, and Optum, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Hiring at this level comes from a mix of K-12 and higher education service providers, edtech companies, nonprofit education organizations, and management consulting firms with dedicated education practice areas.
Are there remote mid level education consultant jobs?
Yes, remote and hybrid options are common at this level. About 60% of mid level education consultant openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting how much of the consulting work, from curriculum review to client advisory sessions, translates well to distributed arrangements. On-site roles tend to cluster around district partnerships and hands-on implementation projects.
How do I move up to a mid level education consultant role?
The path into mid level typically runs through demonstrated ownership in an early-career role. That means moving beyond assigned tasks to drive a project independently, building a specialty such as curriculum design, assessment strategy, or professional development, and accumulating measurable results you can point to. Consultants who have led at least one end-to-end engagement and can show documented impact are well positioned to make the jump.
Which industries hire the most mid level education consultants?
Mid Level education consultant roles concentrate in Fintech, Investment & Asset Management, and Education, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Those sectors drive hiring at this level because they require consultants who can manage ongoing client relationships and deliver complex programs without heavy supervision, which matches the independent ownership that defines mid level work.
