Entry Level Education Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level education job?
Start by completing student teaching, practicum hours, or volunteer classroom experience, since hands-on time with learners carries significant weight at the entry level. Tailor your resume to highlight any curriculum development, tutoring, or mentoring work. A clear cover letter explaining your teaching philosophy and subject-area strength helps you stand out when experience is limited.
Which companies hire entry level educations?
Companies hiring entry level educations right now include Chicago Public Schools, IDEA Public Schools, and Spring Independent School District, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Hiring at this level covers public school districts, private K-12 schools, tutoring companies, early childhood centers, and education-focused nonprofits that regularly bring on new and junior candidates.
Are there remote entry level education jobs?
Yes, though most entry level education roles are still classroom-based. About 5% of entry level education openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, concentrated in online tutoring, virtual instruction, curriculum writing, and ed-tech support roles that do not require daily on-site presence.
Are these new grad education jobs?
Yes, the listings here include new grad, recent graduate, and junior roles in education. A posting is new-grad friendly when it welcomes zero to two years of experience, counts internships or student teaching toward requirements, or accepts a teaching portfolio in lieu of formal work history. Look for language like "entry level," "new grad," or "no experience required" in the job description.
Which industries hire the most entry level educations?
Entry Level education roles concentrate in Education, Healthcare & Medical Services, and Government & Public Sector, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors drive entry level hiring because they face consistent staffing demand, have structured onboarding for new educators, and offer pathways like student teaching or residency programs designed for candidates just starting out.
