Electrical Project Manager / Field Supervisor

Janon Electric is seeking an experienced and motivated Electrical Project Manager / Field Supervisor to join our team. This is a hands-on, versatile position for someone who understands commercial electrical construction and is comfortable working both in the field and in the office.

This is not strictly an office-based project management position. The right candidate will be involved in many aspects of our day-to-day operations, including managing projects, coordinating field crews, estimating, meeting with contractors, completing paperwork, and occasionally performing or assisting with hands-on electrical work.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage multiple electrical projects from start through completion
• Meet with general contractors, customers, project managers, inspectors, and other trades
• Review electrical drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project requirements
• Assist with estimating, takeoffs, pricing, change orders, and proposals
• Complete project paperwork, material orders, RFIs, documentation, and other office responsibilities
• Organize and lead electricians and apprentices each morning before crews leave for their jobs
• Communicate daily expectations, manpower requirements, material needs, and project priorities to field crews
• Visit jobsites throughout Long Island and the New York City area to monitor progress and address field issues
• Coordinate manpower, materials, equipment, deliveries, and scheduling
• Help troubleshoot electrical and construction-related issues in the field
• Perform or assist with hands-on electrical work when necessary
• Maintain strong communication with customers, contractors, employees, and company management
• Help ensure projects are completed safely, professionally, on schedule, and within budget
• Represent Janon Electric professionally at project meetings and jobsites

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of commercial electrical construction
• Previous electrical field experience strongly preferred
• Project management, foreman, estimating, or supervisory experience preferred
• Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and specifications
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Comfortable directing and working with field crews
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities at the same time
• Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
• Basic computer skills and ability to handle emails, project documentation, estimates, and other office work
• Valid driver's license required
• Ability and willingness to travel between different project locations

About the Position

This position is ideal for an experienced electrician, foreman, or electrical project manager who enjoys variety and does not want to spend every day behind a desk.

Some days may involve estimating and project paperwork in the office. Other days may involve meeting with contractors, visiting several jobsites, organizing crews, troubleshooting field conditions, ordering materials, or helping complete electrical work.

Job locations will vary depending on our active projects.

We are looking for someone dependable, professional, organized, and able to communicate effectively with both field employees and customers. The right person will become an important part of the day-to-day operation and continued growth of Janon Electric.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
