As an Elevator Mechanic, you’ll inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair elevator equipment to support safe, reliable operation. You’ll diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, read schematics and blueprints, and coordinate service work with customers and facility teams. Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance and equipment repair on elevator systems, including electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components.
- Diagnose faults using precision measuring instruments, including a voltmeter, ammeter, and ohmmeter; troubleshoot low- and high-voltage electrical systems.
- Read electrical blueprints and schematics; support electrical maintenance, electrical diagnostics, and engineering troubleshooting.
- Inspect and service equipment in the field and at manufacturing facilities; document work in a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
- Use welding, including stick welding, and scissor lifts as needed while following applicable safety procedures.
Experience
- Experience in industrial maintenance, industrial mechanic work, or industrial electrical work; elevator or field service experience is relevant.
- Mechanical knowledge and experience with electrical systems, electrical troubleshooting, equipment troubleshooting, and equipment repair.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), hydraulics, pneumatic systems, and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC); HVAC/R experience is a plus.
- Technical sales experience and customer service skills are helpful. Ability to communicate clearly in English is required.
Pay: $50.00 - $70.00 per hour
