Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Automotive Mechanical Engineering Manager to lead the design, development, and improvement of automotive products, components, and accessories.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on automotive mechanical design and product development experience, along with the ability to lead engineering projects and mentor a team. This role covers the complete product development lifecycle, from initial concept and prototyping through testing and manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead automotive product design and development from concept through production.
- Manage, mentor, and provide technical guidance to mechanical engineers.
- Create and review CAD models, engineering drawings, and product designs.
- Oversee prototyping, product testing, stress analysis, and design improvements.
- Ensure products meet quality, safety, durability, and performance standards.
- Evaluate materials, components, and manufacturing processes for product improvement.
- Coordinate with manufacturers, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Troubleshoot mechanical design and production issues.
- Manage project timelines and ensure successful product delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent relevant experience.
- Strong hands-on experience in automotive mechanical design and product development.
- Experience designing automotive parts, components, assemblies, or aftermarket accessories.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo, or similar CAD software.
- Knowledge of automotive materials, mechanical systems, and manufacturing processes.
- Experience with prototyping, testing, stress analysis, and failure analysis.
- Previous experience leading or mentoring mechanical engineers.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with automotive OEMs, Tier 1/Tier 2 suppliers, or aftermarket companies.
- Experience taking automotive products from initial design through manufacturing.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
