The Energy Conservation and Management Division (ECAM) within the Energy, Minerals and Natural Resources Department (EMNRD) leads the state's charge toward clean energy adoption. ECAM is committed to developing and deploying solutions that will maximize New Mexico's renewable energy resources and improve energy efficiency and transportation standards. ECAM is the U.S. Department of Energy's designated State Energy Office that is a recipient of the Home Efficiency Rebates and Home Electrification and Appliance Rebates grants through the Inflation Reduction Act. As an awardee, ECAM is filling one more term position to help manage the new state Energy Rebate Programs.
Why does the job exist?
The Energy Rebate Program Coordinators will support, under the direction of a supervisor, the successful planning, implementation, tracking and reporting of New Mexico's $87,655,471 Energy Rebates Programs. These new programs are a grant award from the U.S. Department of Energy to help low-income New Mexicans lower their their energy bills through select home improvement projects.
How does it get done?
Coordinate Home Efficiency Rebates and Home Electrification and Appliance Rebates programs
- Plan and develop program design and rules for the New Mexico's Home Efficiency Rebates and Home Electrification and Appliance Rebates programs.
- Contract management including drafting task orders, reviewing/approving invoices, monitoring schedules, and budget control.
- Organize and conduct outreach to stakeholders and partners including other state agencies, industry, and the public.
- Implement and monitor the Home Efficiency Rebates and Home Electrification and Appliance Rebates programs to meet desired outcomes.
- Analyze data and prepare narrative reports for federal grant reporting.
- Evaluate program performance and recommend improvements to program design and implementation.
- Develop and update operating manuals and other program informational material.
- Attend relevant trainings and events.

Associate's Degree and three (3) years of experience in program administration or project management in areas related to the purpose of the position. Any combination of education and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling five (5) years may substitute for the required education and experience.

Working Conditions
Office setting, exposure to visual/video display terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and telephone usage with extended periods of sitting.
