How do I get a engineering program manager job in Orlando?
Focus your search on Orlando's defense and aerospace contractors clustered around Lockheed Martin Drive and the Lake Nona corridor, simulation and modeling firms near the UCF Research Park, and healthcare IT companies in the Medical City district. Candidates with PMP certification, earned value management experience, and familiarity with government contract delivery structures have a clear edge in this market over generalists.
Which companies hire engineering program managers in Orlando?
Companies currently hiring engineering program managers in Orlando include Lockheed Martin, Siemens Energy, and Agile Sourcing Partners, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of November 2026. Orlando's mix of large defense primes, simulation technology firms, and regional hospital systems makes it one of Florida's most active markets for this role.
Are there remote engineering program manager jobs in Orlando?
Yes, though engineering program manager roles are more hands-on than fully remote work typically allows, especially in defense, aerospace, and manufacturing environments. About 100% of engineering program manager openings tied to Orlando are remote or hybrid as of November 2026, and the remote-eligible positions are most common in software-driven program management and healthcare IT project oversight.
How can I get a engineering program manager job in Orlando with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Orlando is moving into a junior program coordinator or systems engineer role at a defense contractor or simulation firm near the UCF Research Park, then building toward program management. UCF's engineering programs have strong local employer ties, and co-op or internship experience with area contractors gives candidates a recognized foothold. Pursuing a PMP certification early signals commitment to the field and resonates with Orlando's project-heavy employers.
