Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and results-oriented Enterprise Sales Director, Tax to support our Sales organization. Reporting to the Senior Sales Manager, this role focuses on driving new business and customer acquisition within a defined territory through prospecting, networking, referrals, and inbound opportunities. The ideal candidate operates as a proactive, trusted partner—capable of managing complex enterprise sales cycles, leveraging partnerships, and delivering consultative solutions tailored to government and tax organizations.
This role is remote and requires travel within the assigned territory.

- Drive new business acquisition through prospecting, networking events, referrals, and inbound lead generation
- Consistently achieve or exceed quota targets through disciplined pipeline development and deal execution
- Manage territory pipeline, forecast accurately, and maintain strong CRM discipline using Salesforce.com
- Leverage AI-enabled tools (e.g., account research, outreach optimization, pipeline analysis) to improve efficiency while maintaining data integrity
Customer-Centric:
- Build strong relationships with enterprise clients in government and tax sectors through consultative engagement
- Deliver tailored sales presentations and demonstrations aligned to client needs and industry requirements
- Leverage partnerships to generate referrals and enhance customer engagement
- Align solutions to customer challenges, particularly in billing, payments, and tax workflows
Takes Ownership:
- Own the full sales cycle from prospecting through negotiation and closing
- Manage territory strategy, prioritization, and execution with accountability for revenue outcomes
- Independently manage time, priorities, and high-volume sales activity in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborate with internal teams and partners to drive deal progression and success
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of closing experience in IT or software sales
- Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales quotas
- Strong relationship-building and networking skills
- Experience selling into government or tax verticals preferred
- Familiarity with consultative sales methodologies (e.g., MEDDICC, MEDDPICC, Value Selling)
- Experience with CRM tools such as Salesforce.com
- Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills
- Ability to travel up to 50% within assigned territory
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Base salary is one component of total compensation. Employees may also be eligible for an annual bonus or commission. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay. The above represents the expected base compensation range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we’ll consider many factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors.
Base Compensation Range $120,000—$130,000 USD
