RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead, train, supervise, and schedule maintenance staff and outside contractors to support facility operations
- Oversee preventive maintenance programs, equipment testing, repairs, and maintenance documentation
- Ensure compliance with OSHA standards, Life Safety Codes, infection control practices, and all applicable regulations
- Conduct and document fire drills, disaster drills, and safety inspections
- Develop, maintain, and update emergency preparedness and mutual aid plans
- Identify facility maintenance needs, coordinate repairs, and oversee equipment and building improvements
- Order supplies and equipment while maintaining budget awareness and purchasing compliance
- Provide staff education and in-service training related to safety, emergency preparedness, and facility operations
- Attend management meetings, safety meetings, and educational programs as directed
- Collaborate with department leaders to ensure a safe and efficient environment for residents and staff
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Administrator
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum education requirement: High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate's Degree or graduate of a building trades training program preferred
- Minimum experience requirement: 1 year of maintenance experience; 3–5 years of supervisory maintenance experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of facility maintenance, building systems, and preventive maintenance programs
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations, Life Safety Codes, emergency preparedness, and infection control practices
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and team management skills
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer service abilities
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects and respond effectively to urgent maintenance issues
- Ability to work collaboratively with residents, families, staff, contractors, and regulatory agencies
