Field Marketing Manager Jobs in Maine: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a field marketing manager in Maine?
The most common path into a field marketing manager role in Maine starts with a bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or communications, followed by hands-on experience in sales, brand activation, or marketing coordination. Maine does not require a state-issued license for this role. Employers in sectors like financial services and healthcare often prefer candidates who have worked in regulated industries, so familiarity with compliance-aware marketing practices gives applicants a meaningful edge.
How much do field marketing managers make in Maine?
Field marketing managers in Maine earn a median of about $135,380 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $92,710 for the lowest 10% to over $232,310 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire field marketing managers in Maine?
Maine field marketing manager roles are posted by Northern Light Health, IDEXX Laboratories, and University of Maine and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Maine's mix of regional headquarters, large healthcare networks, and consumer-facing retailers means field marketing talent is needed across a wider range of industries than you might expect for a state its size.
Which Maine cities have the most field marketing manager jobs?
Portland, Bangor, and Westbrook account for the largest concentration of field marketing manager openings in Maine. Portland drives the most volume as the state's commercial hub, home to corporate offices in financial services, insurance, and consumer brands. Bangor serves as the regional center for northern and eastern Maine, where healthcare systems and retail chains require dedicated field coverage, while Augusta draws openings tied to government-adjacent organizations and statewide campaign work.
Are there remote field marketing manager jobs in Maine?
Yes, but they're less common than in purely digital marketing roles because field marketing is inherently territory-based and requires in-person event execution and retail visits. About 58% of field marketing manager openings tied to Maine are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, and those tend to be regional director or strategy-focused positions. The most hands-on activation and channel management roles almost always require regular presence in the field.
How can I get hired as a field marketing manager in Maine with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry point is a marketing coordinator or brand ambassador role at a Maine employer, then building toward management. Hannaford and Unum both run structured associate programs that move people from execution roles into management tracks. Retail marketing, event coordination at Maine convention venues, or inside sales at a regional distributor all translate directly into field marketing skills. A portfolio of campaign results, even from volunteer or internship projects, carries significant weight when formal experience is limited.
Where can I find and apply to field marketing manager jobs in Maine?
You can find and apply to field marketing manager jobs in Maine on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings from employers actively hiring across the state. Search for roles by city or industry to narrow the results, then apply directly to the positions that fit your background and career goals.
