Field Marketing Manager Jobs in Texas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a field marketing manager in Texas?
There is no state-issued license required to work as a field marketing manager in Texas. Most Texas employers expect a bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related discipline, along with several years of hands-on field or regional marketing experience. Building a portfolio of executed campaigns and events is the most effective way to advance. Certifications from the American Marketing Association, such as the Professional Certified Marketer credential, strengthen applications at larger Texas employers.
How much do field marketing managers make in Texas?
Field marketing managers in Texas earn a median of about $147,880 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $81,820 for the lowest 10% to over $259,200 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire field marketing managers in Texas?
Employers hiring field marketing managers in Texas right now include Expo Home Improvement, Motive, and Circle K, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Texas's concentration of Fortune 500 headquarters, major technology companies, and large regional retail and healthcare organizations means demand for field marketing managers stays consistently active throughout the year.
Which Texas cities have the most field marketing manager jobs?
Austin, Dallas, and Houston have the most field marketing manager openings in Texas. Austin's dense technology and SaaS company base drives much of the demand there, Dallas's concentration of corporate headquarters and retail brands anchors that market, and Houston's energy, healthcare, and industrial sectors generate steady regional marketing needs that require dedicated field managers.
Are there remote field marketing manager jobs in Texas?
Yes, but they're limited, because field marketing is fundamentally an on-the-ground role built around local events, in-person activations, and direct sales support. About 79% of field marketing manager openings tied to Texas are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, and those arrangements tend to apply most to the planning, reporting, and content coordination portions of the role rather than the execution side.
How can I get hired as a field marketing manager in Texas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through a marketing coordinator or event marketing specialist role at a Texas-based technology company, regional retailer, or healthcare organization. Employers such as Dell Technologies, H-E-B, and large regional healthcare systems regularly hire marketing coordinators who grow into field roles. Building a portfolio of executed events or campaigns, even through internships or contract work, matters more than years on a resume. A Professional Certified Marketer credential from the American Marketing Association also helps candidates stand out in competitive Texas markets.
