Job Description:
WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS
SkinHealth Systems devices power treatment menus in thousands of provider practices worldwide — and when a device needs maintenance or repair, providers are counting on a skilled technician to show up, solve the problem, and restore their ability to deliver treatments. The Field Service Technician is that professional: a technically expert, customer-facing representative of SkinHealth Systems who travels to provider sites to install, maintain, and repair electro-mechanical devices with minimal disruption to the practice. This is not a desk role — it is a high-autonomy, high-responsibility position where technical precision, professional presence, and service instinct are equally important. The quality of every field visit directly shapes provider confidence in SkinHealth Systems and the devices they depend on.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Travel to provider sites to perform installation, preventive maintenance, and repair of SkinHealth Systems electro-mechanical devices, with the substantial majority of time spent in the field.
Diagnose and troubleshoot device issues on-site using structured problem-solving, escalating to Technical Support or the Repair team when remote resolution or RMA processing is required.
Submit complete and accurate field service tickets, ATP reports, and all required documentation daily, maintaining the data integrity standards required for operational reporting and compliance.
Represent SkinHealth Systems professionally at every provider interaction — punctual, appropriately attired, and communicating with the care and consistency that reflects the company's service values.
Educate and instruct providers and their staff on device use, care, and maintenance best practices as part of every service visit.
Support internal operational teams — including Technical Support, Engineering, and Training — with field insights, process improvement input, and completion of cross-functional department projects.
Participate in new-hire training, sharing field expertise and practical learnings with incoming Field Service Technicians.
Perform other duties as assigned.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Required
High school diploma or equivalent.
3+ years of experience in technical field service, technical support, or electro-mechanical device manufacturing; IoT/connected device experience is a strong asset.
Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with electro-mechanical devices, including troubleshooting and repair.
Proficiency with computer operating systems, software, and field tools including Outlook, Salesforce, Adobe Acrobat, and Concur.
Ability to instruct and educate customers on product use, care, and maintenance effectively and professionally.
Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Valid driver's license; authorized to work, drive, rent a car, and travel within the United States, including trips of up to 1–2 weeks from home base.
Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule, including occasional evenings and weekends as required.
Preferred
Relevant technical certifications in electro-mechanical, electronics, or related field.
Experience in the aesthetics, medical device, or consumer health industry.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB
Primarily field-based role; the substantial majority of working time is spent traveling to and working at provider sites.
Extensive daily driving required for appointments within approximately a 2-hour radius of home base; must maintain a valid driver's license and personal vehicle.
Frequent air travel required for appointments beyond driving range, including potential travel of 1–2 weeks at a time.
Must be able to lift and carry devices, tools, and materials weighing up to 85 lbs.
Ability to stand, kneel, crouch, and work in varied physical environments at provider locations for extended periods.
We mean it when we say you’ll LOVE this role.
Base Pay: $72,000- 83,000 + bonus
What else can you expect with Hydrafacial?

An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. Field Service Technician Jobs in Houston: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a field service technician job in Houston?
Houston's strongest hiring concentrates in the Energy Corridor and Pasadena industrial zone, where oilfield equipment, process instrumentation, and industrial automation employers consistently recruit. Candidates with hands-on experience maintaining rotating equipment, HVAC systems, or diagnostic imaging hardware move fastest. Certifications like CCNA, Snap-on tooling credentials, or OEM-specific training from manufacturers already active in Houston give applicants a clear edge over generalists.
Which companies hire field service technicians in Houston?
Houston field service technician roles are posted by Enerflex, Trystar, and ABB and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Houston's employer mix skews heavily toward energy services companies, industrial equipment distributors, and medical device manufacturers with large Gulf Coast install bases.
Are there remote field service technician jobs in Houston?
Yes, but only for a narrow slice of the role. About 14% of field service technician openings tied to Houston are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting that most work is inherently on-site at customer facilities. The portions most likely to shift remote are technical support escalations, diagnostic triage, and documentation-heavy roles tied to software-driven equipment monitoring.
How can I get a field service technician job in Houston with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Houston is through apprentice or field support technician roles at industrial distributors and equipment rental companies in Pasadena and Deer Park. Houston Community College's biomedical equipment and industrial technology programs feed directly into local hiring pipelines. Smaller regional service contractors in the Westchase area often hire entry-level candidates willing to train on OEM systems, making them a better starting point than large national firms.
Which industries hire the most field service technicians in Houston?
Houston field service technician roles concentrate in Manufacturing, Energy, and Electronics & Hardware, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Houston's position as the global hub for energy services, combined with the Texas Medical Center's scale and a dense base of industrial manufacturing along the Ship Channel, makes these sectors consistently the largest local employers for this role.
