Finance Manager Jobs in Dallas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a finance manager job in Dallas?
The strongest path into a finance manager role in Dallas is targeting the city's three dominant hiring sectors: financial services firms clustered in Uptown, energy companies headquartered in the Preston Center and downtown corridors, and the large health systems anchored in the Medical District. Candidates who combine FP&A experience with ERP fluency stand out, and CPA holders tend to move faster through hiring pipelines at Dallas's major corporate employers.
Which companies hire finance managers in Dallas?
Companies currently hiring finance managers in Dallas include Deloitte, Mohawk Industries, and PwC, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Dallas draws a wide range of employers, from Fortune 500 headquarters and regional banks to fast-growing private-equity-backed firms in the Frisco and Legacy corridors.
Are there remote finance manager jobs in Dallas?
Yes, though remote availability depends heavily on the role, with analytical and FP&A-focused positions more likely to offer flexibility than roles requiring hands-on oversight of accounting teams or physical operations. About 27% of finance manager openings tied to Dallas are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, reflecting broader corporate policy at the large employers headquartered here. Hybrid arrangements are most common at technology-adjacent and financial services firms in the Legacy West and Uptown submarkets.
How can I get a finance manager job in Dallas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Dallas is moving up from a senior financial analyst or accounting supervisor role within one of the city's large corporate finance teams. Dallas's concentration of regional bank headquarters, insurance companies, and healthcare systems regularly promotes from within, making internal mobility a practical route. Pursuing a CPA while working in a staff accountant or analyst role at a Dallas-area firm accelerates that timeline considerably.
Which industries hire the most finance managers in Dallas?
The sectors hiring the most finance managers in Dallas are Investment & Asset Management, Technology & Software, and Consulting & Professional Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Dallas's role as a corporate relocation destination and regional headquarters hub for each of these sectors keeps local demand consistently higher than comparable metros.
