INTRODUCTION
Performs tasks related to the preparation of payroll journal entries, reconciliation of tax and benefit accounts, processing invoices, responds to customer inquiries, posts appropriate entries to general ledger, run required reports, and assist the payroll team, when required. Reviews banking transactions to ensure proper posting within Great Plains accounting software. Assists with the month-end close process by processing journal entries and preparing reports and other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline from four-year college or university preferred
- One to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

The referenced base salary range represents the low and high end of University of Maryland’s Faculty Physician’s Inc. salary range for this position. Some candidates will not be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. Exact salary will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate’s geographical location, skills, work experience, market conditions, internal equity, responsibility factor and span of control, education/training and other qualifications.
