No state-issued license is required for this role. Employers in New York generally expect a bachelor's degree, a record of managing large international accounts, and fluency with enterprise sales processes. An MBA from a New York institution can accelerate the path at major firms.
Which companies hire global account directors in New York?
Employers hiring global account directors in New York right now include Amazon Web Services, Uber, and Google, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. New York's concentration of global headquarters in finance, enterprise software, and advertising means openings tend to come from firms with large international client portfolios and dedicated global accounts teams.
Which New York cities have the most global account director jobs?
New York, New York State, and Liberty have the most global account director openings in New York. Manhattan dominates because the city's density of financial institutions, multinational technology companies, and global media and advertising agencies creates consistent demand for senior client leadership, while White Plains and other Westchester locations reflect the suburban campuses of large enterprise technology and professional services firms.

Yes, and more than most senior commercial roles. About 50% of global account director openings tied to New York are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting the desk-based and relationship-management nature of the work.
