Green Card Account Executive Jobs
Account Executive roles qualify for EB-2 and EB-3 green card sponsorship when the position requires a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field. Employers file a PERM labor certification with the DOL before sponsoring you for permanent residency, making sponsorship a longer but permanent path compared to temporary work visas.

Frame your degree for PERM qualification
PERM requires the employer to show the role normally requires at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field. Document how your business or communications degree directly aligns with the Account Executive duties listed in the job posting, not just your years of experience.
Target employers with established PERM pipelines
SaaS companies, enterprise software firms, and large financial services employers regularly sponsor Account Executives through PERM because the role recurs on their workforce plans. Look for employers who have filed PERM applications in past years, which signals an existing internal process.
Search green card sponsoring employers on Migrate Mate
Migrate Mate lets you filter Account Executive roles by employers who have active green card sponsorship history, saving you the manual work of cross-referencing DOL disclosure data to find companies that actually sponsor this role.
Clarify sponsorship timing before accepting an offer
Ask the hiring manager whether sponsorship begins after a probationary period or at a fixed tenure milestone. Some employers won't initiate PERM until you've been in the role for one to two years, which affects your overall permanent residency timeline.
Verify the prevailing wage tier before your offer stage
Use the OFLC Wage Search to look up the prevailing wage for Account Executive roles in the employer's metro area before salary negotiations. PERM requires your offered wage to meet or exceed the DOL's certified prevailing wage, and a low offer can stall or derail the filing.
Understand how quota backlogs affect your country of birth
EB-3 has no annual cap on petitions, but visa number availability depends on your country of birth. Applicants born in India or China face multi-year backlogs for visa number availability even after PERM and I-140 approval, so factor this into your long-term U.S. career planning.
Green Card Account Executive: Frequently Asked Questions
Does an Account Executive role qualify for EB-2 or EB-3 green card sponsorship?
Account Executive positions typically qualify under EB-3 as skilled workers or professionals when the employer requires a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field. EB-2 sponsorship is available if the role genuinely requires an advanced degree or the employer can demonstrate the position warrants a candidate with significantly higher qualifications than a standard four-year degree.
How does green card sponsorship differ from H-1B sponsorship for Account Executives?
H-1B visa is a temporary nonimmigrant status renewed in two- or three-year increments with no guarantee of permanence, while green card sponsorship through PERM leads to lawful permanent residency. There is no lottery for employment-based green cards, no annual cap on EB-3 petitions, and your status does not expire once you receive your green card. The tradeoff is timeline: PERM, I-140, and adjustment of status typically take two to four years for most countries of birth.
What does the PERM process look like for an Account Executive position?
Your employer starts by obtaining a prevailing wage determination from the DOL, then conducts a supervised recruitment campaign to confirm no qualified U.S. workers are available for the role. If recruitment is unsuccessful, the employer files the PERM application with DOL. After PERM certification, they file an I-140 immigrant petition with USCIS on your behalf. Once a visa number is available for your country of birth, you file for adjustment of status or consular processing.
How do I find Account Executive jobs where the employer will sponsor a green card?
Use Migrate Mate to search Account Executive roles filtered by employers with documented green card sponsorship history. Most employers who sponsor don't advertise it prominently in job postings, so filtering by prior PERM or I-140 filing history is the most reliable way to identify companies that have already built an internal sponsorship process and are willing to use it for this role.
Can I switch employers after my green card process has started?
Portability rules under AC21 allow you to change employers in a same or similar role once your I-485 adjustment of status application has been pending for 180 days or more and your I-140 has been approved. For Account Executive roles, the key is demonstrating that the new position falls within the same Standard Occupational Classification as the original sponsored role, which USCIS evaluates on a case-by-case basis.
