Green Card Account Operations Manager Jobs
Account Operations Manager roles qualify for EB-2 and EB-3 green card sponsorship when employers file PERM labor certification with DOL, confirming no qualified U.S. workers are available. Operations management functions sit squarely within specialty occupation territory, making employer-sponsored permanent residency a realistic path for credentialed foreign professionals pursuing long-term U.S. careers.

Match your degree to the role description
PERM requires your education to align with the specific Account Operations Manager duties the employer documents. A degree in business administration, operations management, or a related field strengthens the labor certification case and reduces RFE risk during I-140 adjudication.
Target employers with established PERM filing history
Not every company that hires operations managers has run a PERM case before. Search OFLC disclosure data to identify employers who have successfully certified similar roles, then focus your applications on those organizations. Use Migrate Mate to filter sponsoring employers by role and location.
Verify the prevailing wage tier before accepting an offer
Your offered salary must meet or exceed the DOL prevailing wage for your specific Account Operations Manager duties and work location. Run the OFLC Wage Search before negotiating compensation to confirm the employer's offer satisfies the required wage level for your experience tier.
Understand how your national origin affects your timeline
EB-3 green card wait times vary significantly by birth country. Candidates born in India or China face multi-year backlogs even after I-140 approval. Candidates born in most other countries can often complete the full process in two to four years from PERM filing.
Ask employers how they handle concurrent I-485 filing
When your priority date is current, you can file I-140 and I-485 simultaneously, letting you work and travel flexibly before the green card is issued. Confirm early whether the employer's immigration counsel supports concurrent filing for operations management positions to avoid delays at the adjustment stage.
Document cross-functional scope during the PERM audit window
PERM labor certifications for Account Operations Manager roles are sometimes audited by DOL, which requests proof the job duties are as described. Keep detailed records of your cross-departmental responsibilities, system ownership, and process oversight throughout your employment to support any audit response.
Green Card Account Operations Manager: Frequently Asked Questions
Does an Account Operations Manager role qualify for EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship?
Account Operations Manager positions typically qualify for EB-3 sponsorship as skilled workers requiring at least a bachelor's degree, and can qualify for EB-2 if the employer documents that an advanced degree is normally required for the specific role. The classification depends on how the employer defines the minimum requirements during the PERM labor certification filing with DOL.
How does green card sponsorship differ from H-1B sponsorship for this role?
H-1B visa sponsorship is temporary and subject to an annual lottery, while EB-2 and EB-3 green card sponsorship leads to permanent residency with no lottery and no annual cap concerns for most nationalities at the EB-3 level. The PERM process takes longer upfront than an H-1B petition, but the outcome is lawful permanent resident status rather than a renewable temporary visa tied to one employer.
What does the PERM labor certification process involve for operations roles?
Your employer must conduct a DOL-mandated recruitment campaign to demonstrate that no qualified U.S. workers are available for the Account Operations Manager position. This includes placing specific job advertisements, interviewing applicants, and documenting rejection reasons. The process typically takes six to twelve months before DOL certifies the application, after which the employer files the I-140 immigrant petition with USCIS.
How can I find Account Operations Manager jobs that offer green card sponsorship?
Most standard job postings don't specify whether an employer will run PERM for a given role. Migrate Mate lets you search specifically for Account Operations Manager positions at employers with documented green card sponsorship history, so you can target companies that have already committed to sponsoring workers in similar operations roles rather than raising sponsorship in early interviews.
Can I switch employers after my I-140 is approved but before my green card is issued?
Yes. Under AC21 portability, if your I-140 has been approved and your I-485 has been pending for at least 180 days, you can change employers as long as the new role is in the same or a similar occupational classification. Account Operations Manager roles generally port well to similar operations or management positions, but you should confirm the job similarity with an immigration attorney before making a move.
