Green Card Client Partner Jobs
Client Partner roles at U.S. companies can qualify for EB-2 or EB-3 green card sponsorship through the PERM labor certification process, which requires employers to document that no qualified U.S. workers are available. Strategic account management and enterprise sales experience can support advanced-degree sponsorship pathways for candidates pursuing permanent residency.

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Green Card Sponsorship in Client Partner
Document your specialized client management credentials
PERM audits scrutinize whether your experience is genuinely distinguishable from a generic sales role. Gather performance reviews, named account portfolios, and revenue attribution letters that tie your outcomes to specialized client strategy rather than general business development.
Target employers with active PERM filing history
Client Partner sponsorships cluster in enterprise software, consulting, and financial services. Filter job searches to companies that have filed PERM applications for account management or client-facing roles, which signals an established internal sponsorship process rather than a first-time attempt.
Verify your role qualifies under the right EB category
EB-2 requires the position to normally demand a master's degree or higher; EB-3 covers roles requiring a bachelor's degree. Review the O*NET occupation profile for Client Partner to confirm the degree requirement aligns with what your prospective employer will attest in the PERM application.
Negotiate sponsorship commitment before accepting an offer
PERM timelines run 18 to 36 months before you reach I-140 approval. Ask the employer during the offer stage whether they have outside immigration counsel, an established PERM workflow, and a policy on covering legal and filing fees, so no gaps appear after you join.
Use Migrate Mate to find Client Partner roles with green card sponsorship
Search Migrate Mate to surface Client Partner openings at employers with documented green card filing history. You can filter by EB-2 and EB-3 sponsorship type, skipping outreach to companies that have no PERM track record for client-facing positions.
Confirm prevailing wage before the DOL certifies your PERM
Your employer's offered salary must meet the DOL prevailing wage for Client Partner in the specific metro area. Use the OFLC Wage Search to check the Level II or Level III wage for your location before your employer submits the PERM application, since a wage shortfall triggers denial.
Green Card Client Partner: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Client Partner role qualify for EB-2 or EB-3 green card sponsorship?
It depends on how the employer defines the position. If the role normally requires a master's degree or an equivalent combination of a bachelor's degree plus at least five years of progressively specialized experience, it can qualify for EB-2. Roles requiring only a bachelor's degree typically fall under EB-3. Your employer's job description and the prevailing wage tier they select with the DOL will determine which category applies.
How does green card sponsorship differ from H-1B sponsorship for Client Partner roles?
H-1B visa sponsorship is temporary and subject to an annual lottery cap, while EB-2 and EB-3 green card sponsorship through PERM leads to permanent residency with no lottery. The tradeoff is timeline: PERM labor certification, I-140 approval, and adjustment of status can take two to four years or longer depending on your country of birth and visa bulletin backlog. The permanence and cap-exempt nature of the green card process often makes it more attractive for mid-career Client Partners with long-term U.S. career goals.
What evidence strengthens a PERM application for a Client Partner position?
PERM requires the employer to prove no qualified U.S. worker was available, so the job description must reflect your actual duties rather than inflated requirements. Strong applications include a clearly defined specialty, such as enterprise SaaS account management or financial services client strategy, supported by your academic credentials and documented work history. Vague descriptions like 'manage client relationships' are more likely to attract DOL audit scrutiny.
How can I find Client Partner jobs where the employer already sponsors green cards?
Migrate Mate lets you search specifically for Client Partner roles at employers with active EB-2 and EB-3 filing history, so you can focus your applications on companies that have completed the PERM process before rather than pitching sponsorship to employers who have never done it. This significantly reduces the back-and-forth that slows down offer negotiations for internationally sponsored candidates.
Can I change employers after my PERM is filed but before I receive my green card?
Yes, but the rules depend on where you are in the process. If your I-140 petition has been approved for 180 days or more and your I-485 adjustment of status application is pending, you may be able to port to a new employer in a same or similar occupational classification under AC21 portability rules. If your I-140 has not yet been approved, changing employers restarts the PERM process entirely, which is a significant cost in both time and money.
