Cloud Solutions Architect Green Card Jobs
Cloud Solutions Architect roles qualify for EB-2 or EB-3 green card sponsorship through the PERM labor certification process, which requires employers to document recruitment efforts before filing an I-140 petition. Architecture roles at this level typically require a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, and many employers with active cloud infrastructure teams have established sponsorship pipelines.

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Green Card Sponsorship in Cloud Solutions Architect
Align your credentials to PERM job requirements
PERM labor certification locks in the minimum requirements of the sponsored role. Make sure your degree field and job title history match the position description before your employer files, because discrepancies during I-140 adjudication are difficult to correct retroactively.
Target employers with cloud-specific PERM filings
Search DOL PERM disclosure data for job titles like 'Cloud Solutions Architect' or 'Cloud Infrastructure Architect' to identify employers who have successfully certified these roles before. Repeat filers understand the process and are far less likely to abandon sponsorship mid-cycle.
Use Migrate Mate to filter green-card-sponsoring roles
Search Migrate Mate by job title and visa type to surface Cloud Solutions Architect positions where employers are actively sponsoring EB-2 or EB-3 petitions. Filtering by sponsorship history saves you from cold-pitching employers who have never navigated PERM for technical architecture roles.
Verify the prevailing wage before accepting an offer
Your employer must pay at least the DOL prevailing wage for your role and location throughout the PERM process. Cross-check the OFLC Wage Search using the SOC code for Cloud Solutions Architects to confirm the offered salary meets the Level II or Level III wage before you sign anything.
Factor EB-2 NIW eligibility into your job search strategy
If you have an advanced degree and your cloud architecture work serves a U.S. national interest, such as critical infrastructure or federal cloud modernization, a National Interest Waiver lets you self-petition without employer PERM sponsorship. USCIS evaluates both the merit and national importance of your specific contributions.
Prepare for the PERM recruitment documentation window
Employers must complete DOL-mandated recruitment steps, including job postings and internal notices, within a specific window before filing PERM. Understand that this process typically spans several months, so negotiate your start date and any H-1B cap-gap or OPT extension timelines with that calendar in mind.

Find Cloud Solutions Architect JobsCloud Solutions Architect Green Card Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Cloud Solutions Architect role qualify for EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship?
Cloud Solutions Architect positions typically qualify for both. EB-2 applies when the role requires a master's degree or equivalent, or when you pursue a National Interest Waiver based on the strategic value of your work. EB-3 covers roles requiring a bachelor's degree with at least two years of experience. Your employer's job description and the DOL prevailing wage determination will determine which category applies.
How does green card sponsorship differ from H-1B for this role?
H-1B is a temporary nonimmigrant status with a lottery-based annual cap and a six-year maximum duration without extensions. EB-2 and EB-3 green card sponsorship through PERM is permanent residency, with no lottery and no expiration once approved. The PERM process takes longer to complete, often 18 to 36 months from labor certification to I-485 approval, but it results in lawful permanent residency rather than a renewable temporary visa.
What does the PERM labor certification process involve for Cloud Solutions Architect roles?
Your employer files a PERM application with DOL after completing mandatory recruitment steps to demonstrate no qualified U.S. workers were available for the role. For technical architecture positions, the job requirements must be standard for the industry, meaning the employer cannot inflate credentials specifically to favor your profile. Once PERM is certified, your employer files an I-140 petition with USCIS to establish your immigration priority date.
How do I find employers actively sponsoring green cards for Cloud Solutions Architects?
Search Migrate Mate to filter Cloud Solutions Architect roles by employers with active EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship history. You can also review DOL PERM disclosure data to identify companies that have certified similar job titles in recent years. Focusing on employers with established sponsorship pipelines significantly reduces the risk of a process that stalls after you've already accepted an offer.
Can I switch employers during the PERM or I-140 process?
Changing employers early in the PERM stage generally requires restarting the process entirely, since labor certification is employer-specific. Once your I-140 petition has been approved for more than 180 days and your I-485 is pending, the AC21 portability rule allows you to change to a same or similar occupational role without losing your priority date. For Cloud Solutions Architects, a move to a comparable architecture or cloud infrastructure role at a new employer typically qualifies under AC21.
