Training Delivery & Stakeholder Engagement:

- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders, including Product, Engineering, Professional Services, Account Management, and Marketing.
- Work with external stakeholders, including client partners, project managers, developers, technical partners, and executives in enterprise organizations.
- Manage training action plans and coordinate scheduling and administration of learning sessions before, during, and after delivery.
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of Commerce platform features, the third-party ecosystem, and competitive differentiators.
Who You Are:
- 3–5 years of combined experience in the technology industry with a focus on technical writing, instructional design, product training, developer education, or similar roles.
- Working knowledge of GitHub and local development practices; able to run and modify a site locally using popular frameworks like Next.js or Nuxt.js.
- Experience with ecommerce tools and applications, including SaaS and open source storefronts, headless implementations, POS, PIM, OMS, ERP, and payment gateways.
- Solid technical foundation: comfortable with APIs and able to run API requests given API docs or a Postman library; familiar with front-end development tools and at ease with HTML/CSS/JS.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; able to explain complex technical topics clearly to audiences of all experience levels.
- Proactive, transparent communicator who is mindful of stakeholder needs across global, matrixed organizations.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple content projects independently in a fast-paced, ambiguous, and rapidly changing environment.
- Comfortable learning new technologies quickly and asking for help from others; a natural collaborator and knowledge-sharer.

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Green Card Sponsorship as a Content Developer
Document your specialized content credentials early
Gather transcripts, portfolio samples, and employer letters that establish your instructional design or technical writing expertise. PERM audits frequently target Content Developer roles, so organized credential files speed up the labor certification process significantly.
Target employers with established PERM filing history
Search OFLC's public disclosure data for companies that have filed PERM applications under content development or instructional design job titles. Employers already familiar with the process are far less likely to withdraw sponsorship mid-filing due to cost or timeline concerns.
Find sponsoring employers through Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate to filter Content Developer job listings by green card sponsorship history, saving you from applying to employers who've never navigated PERM before. Targeting sponsors with prior EB-2 or EB-3 filings sharply reduces the risk of an abandoned application.
Understand how O*NET classifies your role
Content Developer maps to specific O*NET occupation codes that determine the DOL prevailing wage level your employer must meet. Confirming your job duties align with the correct classification before your employer files prevents costly PERM denials based on mismatched role descriptions.
Negotiate green card language into your offer
Before signing an employment agreement, confirm the employer will cover PERM filing fees and commit to a sponsorship timeline in writing. Content Developer roles often involve project-based or contractor arrangements where sponsorship obligations get dropped without explicit contractual terms.
Check OFLC Wage Search before your salary discussion
Look up prevailing wage levels for Content Developer in your specific geographic area using OFLC Wage Search. Your offered salary must meet or exceed the certified wage level, and knowing this figure before negotiations prevents offer rescissions after PERM is already underway.
Green Card Content Developer: Frequently Asked Questions
Do Content Developer roles typically qualify for EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship?
Most Content Developer positions qualify under EB-3 as skilled workers, since the role typically requires a bachelor's degree but not necessarily an advanced degree. EB-2 applies when the position genuinely requires a master's degree or equivalent, or when the candidate pursues a National Interest Waiver. Your employer's job description and DOL prevailing wage classification will determine which category fits.
How does green card sponsorship differ from H-1B for Content Developer roles?
H-1B visa is a temporary nonimmigrant visa with an annual cap and lottery, while EB-3 green card sponsorship leads to permanent residency with no lottery. The PERM process takes longer upfront, often 18 to 36 months from labor certification through I-140 approval, but it eliminates the uncertainty of annual H-1B registration and builds toward permanent status rather than repeated renewals.
What does the PERM labor certification process require for a Content Developer position?
Your employer must conduct a DOL-mandated recruitment campaign, including job postings and documented outreach, to demonstrate no qualified U.S. workers are available. The job description must accurately reflect your actual duties and match the DOL prevailing wage for that role and location. PERM audits are common for content roles, so employers need detailed recruitment records before filing.
Where can I find Content Developer jobs that offer green card sponsorship?
Migrate Mate lets you search Content Developer listings filtered by employers with verified EB-2 and EB-3 sponsorship history, so you're not guessing which employers will actually support PERM filing. Targeting companies that have completed prior PERM certifications for similar roles significantly reduces the risk of sponsorship falling through after you've already accepted an offer.
Can my employer start the green card process while I'm on an H-1B or OPT?
Yes. Employers can file PERM labor certification while you hold H-1B status, and H-1B holders with an approved I-140 can extend their H-1B beyond the standard six-year limit under AC21 portability rules. If you're on OPT, PERM can begin, but you'll need H-1B or another work-authorized status in place before adjustment of status can be completed.
