Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Green Card Sponsorship as a Dynamics 365 Developer
Align your credentials to PERM requirements early
PERM requires your degree, field of study, and years of experience to match the job description exactly. Get a credentials evaluation now so any gaps between your foreign degree and the U.S. equivalent don't stall your employer's filing later.
Target employers with established PERM filing history
Companies that have sponsored PERM cases for Dynamics 365 or ERP developer roles before already have immigration counsel and internal processes. Prioritize these employers over those sponsoring for the first time, since green card timelines depend heavily on how smoothly the PERM audit phase runs.
Search green card sponsorship roles on Migrate Mate
Migrate Mate surfaces Dynamics 365 Developer jobs filtered by employers actively sponsoring green cards, so you're not guessing from a generic job listing. Use it to find roles where PERM sponsorship is already part of the hiring plan.
Verify prevailing wage before accepting an offer
DOL requires your offered salary to meet the prevailing wage for your job title and work location before certifying the PERM. Use the OFLC Wage Search to check the Level I through Level IV wage tiers for Dynamics 365 Developer roles in your target city before you sign anything.
Understand how your nationality affects priority date wait times
EB-3 green card backlogs vary significantly by birth country. Professionals born in India or China face multi-year waits even after PERM certification and I-140 approval, while most other nationals move through the EB-3 queue far faster. Check the monthly Visa Bulletin before committing to a PERM-based sponsorship path.
Request concurrent I-485 filing if your priority date is current
If the Visa Bulletin shows your priority date is current when your employer files the I-140, you can file for adjustment of status at the same time. This unlocks an Employment Authorization Document and advance parole while USCIS adjudicates your green card, giving you more flexibility during the final stage.
Green Card Dynamics 365 Developer: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Dynamics 365 Developer role qualify for EB-2 or EB-3 green card sponsorship?
Dynamics 365 Developer positions typically qualify under EB-3 as skilled workers when a bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field is required. EB-2 applies if the employer can demonstrate the role genuinely requires an advanced degree or if you have a combination of degree and progressive experience that meets DOL's elevated standard. The PERM job description your employer drafts must match your actual credentials.
How does PERM green card sponsorship differ from H-1B sponsorship for this role?
H-1B visa sponsorship is temporary, capped at 85,000 slots annually, and subject to a lottery. PERM-based green card sponsorship has no annual cap at the petition level and leads to permanent residency. The tradeoff is timeline: PERM labor certification, I-140 approval, and priority date movement can take two to five years or more depending on your birth country, compared to H-1B status that starts within months of selection.
What does the PERM labor certification process involve for a Dynamics 365 Developer?
Your employer files an ETA Form 9089 with DOL after completing a supervised recruitment process to demonstrate no qualified U.S. workers are available for the role. DOL audits a percentage of PERM applications, and Dynamics 365 Developer cases can draw scrutiny if the job requirements are narrowly written around a specific Microsoft certification. The employer's immigration attorney drafts the job duties and minimum requirements, so the description must reflect what the role actually demands.
How do I find Dynamics 365 Developer jobs where the employer is already committed to green card sponsorship?
Migrate Mate filters job listings by employers with active green card sponsorship history, so you can focus your search on Dynamics 365 Developer roles where PERM sponsorship is already part of the hiring plan rather than something you'd need to negotiate after an offer. This saves significant time during a process where employer willingness is the single biggest variable.
Can I switch employers after my PERM is filed but before my green card is approved?
You can change employers after your I-140 has been approved for at least 180 days and your I-485 adjustment of status application has been pending for at least 180 days, under USCIS portability rules. The new role must be in the same or similar occupational classification as the PERM-sponsored position. Dynamics 365 Developer roles within the broader software developer or ERP specialist category generally satisfy this same-or-similar standard, but confirm with your immigration attorney before accepting a new offer.
