Green Card Epic Analyst Jobs
Epic Analyst roles qualify for EB-2 and EB-3 green card sponsorship through the PERM labor certification process, which permanently ties your authorization to the employer rather than a visa end date. Health systems and implementation partners routinely file I-140 petitions for analysts with EHR configuration and clinical workflow credentials.

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Green Card Sponsorship as an Epic Analyst
Document your Epic module certifications early
PERM labor certification requires your employer to prove your qualifications match the posted role. Having current Epic certifications in modules like Cadence, Beaker, or Resolute on file speeds up the job description drafting phase and reduces RFE risk on your I-140.
Target health systems with established immigration programs
Large integrated delivery networks and Epic implementation partners file PERM applications regularly. Look for employers that list permanent residency sponsorship explicitly in job postings, not just H-1B visa, since not all sponsors have experience with the PERM labor market test process.
Search for green card sponsors using Migrate Mate
Filter by employers with active EB-2 and EB-3 filing history for Epic Analyst roles specifically. Migrate Mate surfaces DOL PERM disclosure data so you can verify an employer has sponsored similar positions before reaching the offer stage.
Clarify the employer's PERM timeline at offer negotiation
Ask directly whether the employer will initiate PERM within your first year. Some health systems begin the process at the six-month mark; others wait until you convert from a work visa. Knowing this upfront shapes your long-term status planning, especially if your current authorization has a hard expiration.
Verify your degree satisfies the PERM-posted requirements
PERM regulations require the employer to define minimum qualifications before advertising the role. If your degree is in information systems, health informatics, or a clinical field rather than computer science, confirm with the employer that the job description reflects your actual educational background, not a generic IT template.
Understand the EB-2 versus EB-3 classification for your credentials
Epic Analyst roles typically fall under EB-3 for bachelor's-level applicants and EB-2 for those with a master's degree or equivalent advanced credentials. Your classification affects priority date timelines, which USCIS publishes monthly in the Visa Bulletin.
Green Card Epic Analyst: Frequently Asked Questions
Do Epic Analyst roles qualify for EB-2 or EB-3 green card sponsorship?
Both categories are available depending on your credentials. Employers can sponsor you under EB-3 if the role requires a bachelor's degree, which covers most Epic Analyst positions. If you hold a master's degree in health informatics, information systems, or a related field, the employer may file under EB-2 instead. USCIS evaluates the job requirements posted during PERM, not just your personal qualifications.
How does green card sponsorship differ from H-1B sponsorship for an Epic Analyst?
H-1B sponsorship is temporary and subject to an annual lottery cap, whereas PERM-based green card sponsorship leads to permanent residency with no annual cap at the EB-3 level for most countries. The PERM process takes longer upfront, typically one to three years from labor certification through I-485 approval, but your authorization doesn't expire the way an H-1B does at the six-year limit.
Which employers sponsor green cards for Epic Analyst positions?
Large health systems, Epic implementation consulting firms, and integrated delivery networks are the most consistent sponsors. You can verify which employers have filed PERM applications for Epic Analyst roles by reviewing DOL disclosure data. Migrate Mate aggregates this data so you can filter job listings by employers with documented EB-2 and EB-3 filing history for this specific occupation.
What documents should I prepare before applying for green card-sponsored Epic Analyst roles?
Gather your Epic module certifications, official degree transcripts, and any evidence of specialized clinical workflow or EHR implementation experience. Your employer's immigration attorney will need these to draft the PERM job description and support your I-140 petition. Gaps between your credentials and the posted job requirements are a common source of delays, so having documentation ready before the offer stage matters.
Can I switch Epic Analyst jobs while my green card application is pending?
Changing employers during the PERM stage or before your I-140 is approved typically requires restarting the process with the new employer. Once your I-140 is approved and your priority date is current or within 180 days of an I-485 filing, portability rules under AC21 allow you to move to a same or similar role without losing your priority date. Confirm the job description overlap carefully with an immigration attorney before accepting a new offer.
