Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Green Card Sponsorship in Expeditor
Document your supply chain credentials early
PERM requires your employer to certify that no qualified U.S. worker is available. Having documented proof of specialized expediting skills, such as ERP system proficiency or export compliance training, strengthens the job description and reduces audit risk.
Target employers with PERM filing history
Manufacturers, aerospace contractors, and defense suppliers regularly sponsor Expeditor roles through PERM. Search the DOL's OFLC disclosure data to confirm an employer has filed for this occupation before reaching out to a recruiter.
Use Migrate Mate to find sponsoring employers
Searching broadly wastes time when you need a sponsor. Migrate Mate surfaces Expeditor jobs at employers with verified green card filing history, so you can focus your applications on companies already set up to sponsor.
Verify the prevailing wage before accepting an offer
Your employer must pay at least the DOL prevailing wage for your specific Expeditor role and location. Use the OFLC Wage Search to check the Level I through Level IV wage tiers before negotiating your offer letter.
Clarify your EB-2 or EB-3 category upfront
Most Expeditor roles qualify under EB-3 as skilled workers requiring at least two years of training. If your role requires a bachelor's degree, ask whether the employer will file under EB-2, since your priority date and waiting period can differ significantly by category.
Understand the PERM recruitment timeline before your start date
PERM requires your employer to complete mandatory recruitment steps, including job ads and a supervised recruiting period, before DOL submission. This process typically takes six to twelve months before your I-140 can even be filed.

Find Expeditor JobsExpeditor Green Card Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Can an Expeditor role qualify for an employment-based green card?
Yes. Expeditor positions that require at least two years of specialized training or experience typically qualify under EB-3 as skilled workers. Roles that require a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as logistics, supply chain management, or industrial engineering may qualify under EB-2. Your employer initiates the process by filing a PERM labor certification with DOL.
How does the green card process for Expeditors differ from H-1B sponsorship?
The EB-3 green card process leads to permanent residency rather than a temporary status. Unlike the H-1B, there is no annual lottery for employment-based green cards, and the EB-3 category has no cap that limits the number of petitions. The tradeoff is time: PERM, I-140, and adjustment of status together can take two to four years, and much longer for applicants from India or China due to priority date backlogs.
What does PERM labor certification require from an Expeditor's employer?
PERM requires the employer to conduct a supervised recruitment campaign, document that no qualified U.S. worker applied for the role, and certify to DOL that the offered wage meets the prevailing wage for the position and location. The job duties and minimum requirements in the PERM filing must match the actual role, so it's worth reviewing the O*NET occupation profile for Expeditor to confirm your job description aligns.
How do I find Expeditor employers who actively sponsor green cards?
Start with employers in industries that regularly sponsor Expeditor roles: aerospace, defense contracting, automotive manufacturing, and large-scale logistics operations. Migrate Mate filters job listings by employers with verified PERM and I-140 filing history, so you can identify companies that have sponsored this occupation before rather than hoping a new employer will be willing to start the process.
Does my country of birth affect my Expeditor green card timeline?
Yes. EB-3 priority date backlogs are driven by birth country, not citizenship. Applicants born in India or China face significantly longer waits, sometimes exceeding a decade, because annual per-country limits restrict how many green cards can be issued. Applicants born in most other countries typically move through the EB-3 queue within two to four years. USCIS publishes a monthly Visa Bulletin with updated priority dates.
