Facilities Project Manager Green Card Jobs
Facilities Project Manager roles qualify for EB-2 and EB-3 green card sponsorship through the PERM labor certification process, which permanently ties your residency path to a U.S. employer rather than a temporary visa. Employers in construction, corporate real estate, and healthcare systems regularly sponsor this role. Priority dates and country of birth affect your timeline significantly.

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Green Card Sponsorship as a Facilities Project Manager
Document your specialty occupation credential match
PERM requires your degree field to align with the role's duties. A facilities project manager position typically maps to construction management, civil engineering, or architecture, gather transcripts and degree evaluations before applying.
Target employers with active PERM filing history
Search OFLC disclosure data for employers who have filed PERM applications under SOC code 11-9021 (Construction Managers) or related facilities titles. Companies with prior filings understand the process and won't back out mid-sponsorship.
Use Migrate Mate to filter sponsoring employers
Migrate Mate surfaces facilities and construction management employers with verified green card sponsorship history, so you can focus outreach on organizations already set up to run PERM rather than educating HR from scratch.
Negotiate EB-2 versus EB-3 classification upfront
If your role requires a master's degree or you have ten or more years of progressive experience, push for EB-2 filing. The priority date queue and waiver eligibility differ meaningfully between categories, especially for applicants from India or China.
Prepare for the supervised recruitment audit period
PERM requires your employer to run DOL-mandated recruitment steps before filing. A facilities PM role often attracts many U.S. applicants, so document why each candidate was lawfully rejected, this audit trail protects you if USCIS issues a request for evidence.
Confirm I-140 portability before accepting a counter-offer
Once your employer files the I-140 and it has been pending or approved for 180 days, USCIS portability rules let you move to a new employer in a same or similar role without losing your priority date, a critical protection for facilities professionals changing companies mid-process.

Find Facilities Project Manager JobsFacilities Project Manager Green Card Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Facilities Project Manager role qualify for EB-2 or EB-3 green card sponsorship?
Both categories are available depending on your credentials and how the employer defines the position. EB-3 covers roles requiring at least a bachelor's degree, while EB-2 applies when the job requires an advanced degree or you have ten or more years of progressive facilities management experience that your employer documents as equivalent. Your employer's attorney drafts the job description to match the appropriate category.
How does PERM green card sponsorship differ from H-1B sponsorship for this role?
H-1B is a temporary status with a two- or three-year term, subject to the annual lottery for cap-subject employers. PERM-based green card sponsorship leads to permanent residency with no renewal cycle and no lottery. The tradeoff is time: PERM labor certification, I-140 approval, and priority date availability can take two to five years or longer for applicants from high-demand countries. The endpoint is lawful permanent residency, not another visa.
Which industries most commonly sponsor Facilities Project Managers for green cards?
Healthcare systems, university campuses, large corporate real estate portfolios, and government contractors are the most consistent sponsors. These organizations manage large physical footprints with ongoing capital projects and need permanent in-house expertise, which makes long-term sponsorship investment practical. Defense contractors and data center operators also file regularly due to cleared facilities roles that are difficult to fill domestically.
How can I find Facilities Project Manager jobs that already offer green card sponsorship?
Migrate Mate indexes employers with verified PERM and I-140 filing history, so you can search specifically for facilities and construction management roles where sponsorship is an established practice rather than a case-by-case decision. Targeting employers with prior filings shortens the internal approval process significantly because their legal and HR teams already have the workflow in place.
What happens to my PERM case if my employer is acquired or restructures during the process?
A corporate acquisition does not automatically void your PERM filing if the new employer is a successor-in-interest and the job duties remain substantially the same. USCIS recognizes successor-in-interest relationships for I-140 portability purposes. You should confirm in writing with your employer's immigration counsel that the successor entity intends to continue the sponsorship before any transaction closes.
