Gtm Strategy Lead Green Card Jobs
GTM Strategy Lead roles qualify for EB-2 or EB-3 green card sponsorship when employers file a PERM labor certification confirming no qualified U.S. workers are available. Because GTM strategy requires a specialized business or marketing degree and measurable cross-functional experience, most sponsoring employers classify this role at the EB-2 level.

ABOUT THE TEAM
The GTM Strategy & Growth team drives the growth and evolution of our B2B business across products, customer segments, and routes to market. We partner closely with Product, Sales, Success, Data Science, Finance, and Marketing to define and execute go-to-market strategies for new product launches, commercialization models, customer growth initiatives, and market expansion opportunities.
Our work sits at the intersection of product strategy, growth, and operations — shaping how we bring products to market, how we measure success, and how we scale adoption across customer segments. We operate across both strategic and highly operational domains, from defining long-term growth bets and commercial strategy to building launch plans, tracking performance, and driving cross-functional execution across the business.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re looking for an exceptional leader to join our GTM Strategy & Growth team focused on driving go-to-market strategy for our API business. This role is ideal for someone who combines strong product intuition with thoughtful and nuanced GTM strategy, and who can flex seamlessly between high-level strategic thinking and operational execution.
You’ll play a central role in shaping how new API products and platform capabilities are commercialized and scaled. This includes defining growth strategies, customer segmentation approaches, launch success metrics, and commercialization models in close partnership with Product, Pricing, Data Science, Finance, Sales, and Customer Success.
You should be highly analytical, deeply comfortable with technical products and API businesses, and experienced navigating complex cross-functional environments. The ideal candidate understands how GTM organizations operate at scale and can translate customer, product, and market insights into actionable growth strategies.
This role is based in San Francisco, CA. We use a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office per week and offer relocation assistance to new employees.
IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:
-
Lead go-to-market strategy for our API business, partnering closely with Product and GTM leadership to define growth priorities and commercialization approaches.
-
Define north star goals, launch success metrics, and operating KPIs for new product launches, and monitor performance in partnership with Data Science and Analytics teams.
-
Develop GTM growth strategies and strategic bets for new products, capabilities, customer motions, and market opportunities.
-
Define customer segmentation frameworks and tailored strategies for different customer profiles, industries, and stages of adoption.
-
Partner with Product teams to provide structured customer feedback, market insights, and prioritization input that influences product roadmap decisions.
-
Collaborate with Pricing, Finance, and Product teams to design commercial models, packaging, and monetization strategies, ensuring downstream GTM execution aligns with the broader commercial strategy.
-
Conduct market, competitive, and customer research to identify whitespace opportunities and inform strategic decision-making.
-
Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, Product, Finance, and Operations to align on priorities and execute against business goals.
-
Evaluate business performance and recommend adjustments to GTM strategy based on data, customer insights, and market dynamics.
YOU MIGHT THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU:
-
Have 10+ years of experience across GTM strategy, business operations, management consulting, product strategy, finance, or related functions in high-growth technology environments.
-
Bring strong fluency in data and analytics, with the ability to define meaningful success metrics, interpret performance trends, and drive data-informed decision-making.
-
Have experience working with technical or API-based products and understand the nuances of developer and enterprise GTM motions.
-
Possess a deep understanding of B2B GTM operating models across Sales, Success, Product, Marketing, and Operations.
-
Have demonstrated success leading complex cross-functional initiatives that span strategy, operations, and execution.
-
Are equally comfortable defining long-term strategic direction and diving into operational details to ensure execution excellence.
-
Bring strong product intuition and can effectively partner with Product teams to shape roadmap prioritization and commercialization strategy.
-
Have experience developing pricing, packaging, or monetization strategies in partnership with Product and Finance teams.
-
Thrive in ambiguous, fast-moving environments and can bring structure and clarity to complex business problems.
-
Are an exceptional communicator and collaborator who can influence senior stakeholders across technical and non-technical teams.

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Green Card Sponsorship in Gtm Strategy Lead
Document your GTM impact quantitatively
PERM audits scrutinize whether your experience genuinely matches the job requirements. Build a record of pipeline metrics, revenue attribution, and product launch outcomes before your employer files, so the labor certification reflects your actual scope.
Confirm your degree field covers strategy
EB-2 requires an advanced degree directly related to the position. A general MBA typically qualifies, but a degree in communications or liberal arts may trigger an RFE. Verify the stated minimum requirement in your PERM job description aligns with your actual credential.
Target companies with active PERM filing history
Use Migrate Mate to filter GTM Strategy Lead openings by employers who have recently completed PERM certifications. This cuts through job listings where sponsorship is theoretically possible but unlikely to be approved in practice.
Ask employers about EB-2 versus EB-3 classification early
Some employers default to EB-3 to simplify the prevailing wage requirement, which may extend your green card timeline for certain nationalities. Clarify the intended category before accepting an offer so you can factor in priority date backlogs accurately.
Cross-reference the OFLC Wage Search before negotiating
DOL sets prevailing wages by SOC code and location, and your employer must pay at least that amount. Run the OFLC Wage Search for your metro area so you know the Level I through Level IV range before your offer letter is drafted.
Use O*NET to anchor your job description language
PERM applications live and die on the specificity of the job duties. Review the O*NET occupation profile for GTM-adjacent roles so your employer's description uses recognized DOL duty language, reducing the risk of a supervised recruitment audit.

Find Gtm Strategy Lead JobsGtm Strategy Lead Green Card Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a GTM Strategy Lead role qualify for EB-2 green card sponsorship?
Yes, if the position genuinely requires a master's degree or a bachelor's degree plus at least five years of specialized experience in go-to-market strategy. Your employer must demonstrate this minimum requirement through the PERM labor certification process. Roles with a bachelor's-only requirement typically fall under EB-3 instead, which has the same permanent residency outcome but a different prevailing wage tier.
How does green card sponsorship differ from H-1B sponsorship for this role?
Green card sponsorship through PERM leads to permanent residency rather than a temporary status requiring renewal every three years. There is no lottery at the EB-3 level, no annual cap on petitions for most nationalities, and your priority date is locked once USCIS approves your I-140. The tradeoff is timeline: PERM labor certification alone takes roughly six to eighteen months before the I-140 petition is even filed.
Can my employer start the green card process while I'm on an H-1B?
Yes, and starting early is the standard approach. Your employer can file the PERM application while you hold valid H-1B status. Once your I-140 is approved and your priority date is current, you file for adjustment of status. H-1B extensions beyond the six-year cap are available under AC21 if your I-140 has been approved for more than 365 days, which gives you additional runway during long green card queues.
Where can I find GTM Strategy Lead jobs where employers actively sponsor green cards?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by verified green card sponsorship history, so you're not cold-applying to roles where PERM is theoretically possible but rarely approved. Searching by role category and location lets you identify companies that have completed PERM certifications for strategy and marketing positions rather than relying on vague sponsorship language in job postings.
What happens to my green card process if I change GTM employers mid-filing?
If your I-140 has been approved for at least 180 days and your adjustment of status application has been pending for the same period, portability rules under AC21 allow you to change employers without restarting the process, provided the new role is in the same or similar occupational category. GTM Strategy Lead positions typically qualify as the same occupational category as similar senior strategy or marketing management roles, but confirm this with your new employer's immigration counsel before resigning.
