Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Green Card Sponsorship in Head Of Business Operations
Target employers with active PERM filing history
Search the OFLC Wage Search to identify companies that have filed PERM applications for operations or management roles. Employers who have navigated PERM before move faster and are less likely to back out when immigration costs become real.
Use Migrate Mate to find green card sponsoring employers
Filter your job search by EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship availability using Migrate Mate, which surfaces Head of Business Operations openings at companies with documented green card filing history so you aren't guessing who will sponsor.
Understand how your O*NET classification affects PERM
The O*NET profile for business operations roles defines the minimum education and experience requirements DOL uses to set the recruitment standard during PERM. If your employer lists requirements above that baseline, it can complicate the audit defense.
Negotiate the PERM timeline into your offer stage
Ask during the offer discussion when the employer plans to initiate PERM labor certification. Delays of six to twelve months between hire date and PERM filing are common and directly push back your priority date and eventual green card receipt.
Confirm E-Verify enrollment before accepting a sponsoring role
PERM-sponsoring employers must be able to verify your work authorization throughout the green card process. An employer not enrolled in E-Verify can face complications during DOL audits, which stalls your case at the labor certification stage.

Find Head Of Business Operations JobsHead Of Business Operations Green Card Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Head of Business Operations role qualify for EB-2 or EB-3 green card sponsorship?
Most Head of Business Operations positions qualify for EB-3 when the employer requires a bachelor's degree in business, management, or a related field. If the role requires an advanced degree or the employer can demonstrate your specialized expertise warrants EB-2 treatment, the petition may qualify at the EB-2 level instead. The employer's stated minimum requirements in the PERM filing determine which category applies.
How does PERM green card sponsorship differ from H-1B for this role?
H-1B authorization is temporary and subject to a lottery with an annual cap. PERM-based green card sponsorship has no annual cap at the petition level, and EB-3 approval leads to permanent residency rather than a renewable nonimmigrant status. The tradeoff is timeline: PERM labor certification typically takes one to two years before the I-140 is even filed, compared to H-1B which can start employment within months.
What does the PERM labor certification process require from the employer?
The employer must conduct a DOL-supervised recruitment campaign to demonstrate no qualified U.S. workers are available for the role at the prevailing wage. For a Head of Business Operations position, this includes job postings, internal notices, and documentation of all applicants reviewed. The employer files the ETA Form 9089 with DOL, and the entire recruitment must be completed before the petition is submitted.
How can I find Head of Business Operations jobs that offer green card sponsorship?
The most efficient approach is to search specifically for employers with documented EB-2 or EB-3 filing history for operations and management roles. Migrate Mate lets you filter Head of Business Operations openings by green card sponsorship type, so you can focus your applications on companies that have already committed to sponsoring permanent residency rather than identifying them through trial and error.
What happens to my green card case if I change employers during the PERM process?
If you leave before the I-140 is approved, the PERM labor certification and any pending I-140 are generally lost and the process restarts with the new employer. After I-140 approval, portability rules under AC21 allow you to change to a same or similar role without losing your priority date, provided your I-485 has been pending for at least 180 days.
