Head Of Product Green Card Jobs
Head of Product roles qualify for EB-2 and EB-3 green card sponsorship when the position requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field. Employers file a PERM labor certification with DOL before sponsoring you, confirming no qualified U.S. workers are available. Finding employers with active sponsorship history shortens your path to permanent residency significantly.

About the role
The Head of Product Lines, Region North America is accountable for end-to-end Regional Product Line performance for our Major Appliances portfolio—Food Preservation, Food Preparation, and Care - with a clear focus on commercialization, profitable growth, and regional P&L ownership.
This role owns what is commercialized in North America - from consumer-backed roadmaps and generation plans through launch execution, lifecycle performance, and value realization. The Head of Product Lines converts market, consumer, and customer insights into clear portfolio priorities, product specifications, and business cases, ensuring products win in-market while staying aligned to global platforms and strategies.
As a member of the North America Executive Leadership Team, reporting to Head of Region North America, the Head of Product Lines is the accountable executive for regional product outcomes, driving speed, decision clarity, and cross-functional execution from strategy through in-market results.
What you’ll do
Own Regional Product Line Performance & P&L
- Lead Food Preservation, Food Preparation, and Care Regional Product Lines with full regional P&L accountability.
- Own commercial outcomes in-market, including growth, margin, mix, cost, and competitiveness.
- Drive portfolio trade-offs across brands, channels, price tiers, and features to optimize profitability and market impact.
Define Regional Product Roadmaps & Generation Plans
- Define and institutionalize a North America consumer-centric innovation and roadmap process (inputs, cadence, governance, and decision gates), producing 3–5 year generation plans grounded in consumer insight, customer needs, and competitive dynamics.
- Translate insights into concrete regional product specification requirements, including features, performance, cost targets, and timing.
- Ensure alignment with Global Product Lines and partner effectively with the Food Preservation Selling Joint Venture to deliver an integrated, executable roadmap—while preserving regional relevance, speed, and accountability.
Own Business Cases & ROI Delivery
- Be accountable for delivering the committed return on investment, not just securing approval.
- Lead corrective actions when assumptions, cost, timing, or market performance are at risk.
Lead the Regional Innovation Triangle
- Drive structured innovation triangle discussions across Product, Commercial, and Consumer Insights.
- Identify region-specific unmet needs and differentiated propositions.
- Synthesize regional insights and feed them into the broader Product organization to inform prioritization and scalable innovation.
Shape Core Products & Complementary Value
- Select and prioritize digital, physical, and service complements to core products that should be developed, marketed, and monetized in North America.
- Ensure complements enhance consumer value, differentiation, and lifetime value.
- Partner with Digital, Technology, and Commercial teams to ensure complements are commercially viable and regionally relevant.
Drive Launch Excellence & In-Market Performance
- Own regional launch readiness and execution across Product, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and Commercial teams.
- Be accountable for in-market performance, including quality, reliability, warranty, and consumer ratings.
- Ensure closed-loop learning informs roadmap and lifecycle decisions.
Build and Lead the NA Product Organization
- Lead and develop the North America Product Line organization, including Regional Heads/VPs for each category.
- Lead a multi-layer regional product organization and operate through a tight stakeholder network across Global Product, Commercial/Sales/Marketing, Operations & Supply Chain, Quality, Digital/Technology, Finance, and the Food Preservation Selling Joint Venture.
- Establish clear decision rights and RACIs with Global Product and Functions to increase speed and eliminate duplication.
- Build strong succession and leadership pipelines for critical product roles.
- Accountable for market, commercial, and financial performance.
What success looks like in the first 12–18 months
- Stand up a repeatable, consumer-centric innovation and roadmap operating model for North America (insights-to-specs, prioritization, business cases, and launch commitments).
- Align NA roadmaps with global platforms and architectures while improving regional speed-to-market and decision clarity (RACI).
- Build a one-roadmap partnership with the Food Preservation Selling Joint Venture, with clear interfaces, shared priorities, and escalation paths.
- Improve portfolio profitability through disciplined trade-offs (mix, pricing, cost targets, SKU rationalization where needed) and stronger value realization.
- Increase launch excellence and closed-loop learning, using in-market performance (quality, ratings, warranty, service insights) to refine roadmap and lifecycle decisions.
- Strengthen the NA product leadership bench and succession pipeline across categories.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
- Senior product leader with 15+ years of experience in product line, category, or portfolio leadership within durable goods or complex consumer products.
- Proven owner of regional product P&L and commercial outcomes preferably in a matrixed, global organization.
- Strong track record balancing consumer relevance, cost competitiveness, and execution discipline.
- Comfortable making trade-offs, setting priorities, and driving accountability close to the market.
- A collaborative, decisive leader with the ability to influence executive levels and build high-performing teams.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Green Card Sponsorship in Head Of Product
Document your product leadership credentials early
Gather performance reviews, promotion letters, and evidence of cross-functional ownership before applying. PERM requires your employer to define minimum qualifications tied to the role, and your background must match those credentials exactly at the time of filing.
Target companies with PERM filing history
Search DOL's public OFLC disclosure data for employers who have previously filed PERM applications for product management or product director roles. Past filings signal an established internal sponsorship process, reducing the risk of employer reluctance during offer negotiations.
Clarify sponsorship intent before accepting an offer
Ask hiring managers directly whether the company will initiate PERM within your first year. Unlike H-1B, PERM sponsorship doesn't follow a fixed deadline, so getting a written commitment in your offer letter protects you if HR priorities shift after you join.
Use Migrate Mate to find sponsoring employers
Search Head of Product roles filtered by green card sponsorship history on Migrate Mate. The platform surfaces employers who have sponsored similar roles through PERM, saving you from applying to companies with no established sponsorship infrastructure.
Verify your role qualifies under EB-2 specialty occupation standards
Review the O*NET occupation profile for Product Managers and Directors to confirm your job duties align with roles requiring a specialized degree. USCIS scrutinizes whether the position genuinely requires an advanced degree, especially for senior individual-contributor product roles without direct reports.
Understand how EB-3 affects your green card timeline
If your employer files under EB-3 rather than EB-2, your priority date determines when your green card becomes available. For most countries outside India and China, EB-3 dates are current, meaning you could receive your green card without a multi-year wait after I-140 approval.

Find Head Of Product JobsHead Of Product Green Card Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Do Head of Product roles typically qualify for EB-2 or EB-3 green card sponsorship?
Head of Product positions can qualify under either EB-2 or EB-3 depending on how the employer defines the role's minimum requirements. EB-2 applies when the job genuinely requires an advanced degree or its equivalent. EB-3 covers positions requiring at least a bachelor's degree. Most senior product leadership roles qualify under EB-2 when the employer's PERM job description specifies a master's degree or a bachelor's plus substantial progressive experience.
How does green card sponsorship differ from H-1B for Head of Product candidates?
Green card sponsorship through PERM and I-140 leads to permanent residency, not a temporary status. Unlike H-1B, there's no annual lottery for EB-2 or EB-3 petitions, and your authorization doesn't expire if you remain with your sponsoring employer. The tradeoff is timeline: PERM labor certification alone takes six to twelve months before USCIS reviews your I-140, whereas H-1B can be active within months of selection.
What does the PERM labor certification process require for a Head of Product role?
Your employer must conduct a formal recruitment process through DOL, advertising the Head of Product position at the prevailing wage and documenting that no qualified U.S. workers applied. The job description filed with PERM must match your actual duties and the minimum qualifications you held when hired. Any mismatch between your credentials and the PERM requirements can trigger an audit, delaying the entire process.
How can I find Head of Product jobs where employers are open to green card sponsorship?
The most direct method is searching for employers who have already filed PERM applications for product management roles using DOL's OFLC disclosure data. Migrate Mate filters Head of Product listings by sponsorship history, letting you focus on companies with a proven track record of completing PERM filings rather than those who say they're open to sponsorship but haven't done it before.
Can I switch employers after my employer files my PERM application?
Leaving before your I-140 is approved generally restarts the PERM process from the beginning with your new employer. Once your I-140 is approved and your priority date is established, portability rules under AC21 may let you transfer your petition to a new employer in a same or similar role. Waiting until your I-140 approval before changing companies protects your priority date and avoids losing months of PERM processing time.
