Logistics Planner Green Card Jobs
Logistics Planner roles qualify for EB-2 and EB-3 green card sponsorship when the position requires a bachelor's degree in supply chain, operations, or a related field. Employers file PERM labor certification with DOL before sponsoring permanent residency, making this a direct path to a U.S. green card rather than a temporary work authorization.

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Green Card Sponsorship as a Logistics Planner
Document your supply chain credentials early
Gather degree transcripts, professional certifications like APICS CPIM or CSCP, and employment verification letters before applying. PERM requires your qualifications to match the job description exactly, so gaps between your credentials and the posted role can derail certification.
Target employers with PERM filing history
Search DOL's OFLC disclosure data for companies that have previously filed PERM applications under logistics or supply chain occupations. Repeated filings signal an established sponsorship process, reducing the risk that a willing employer lacks the legal infrastructure to sponsor you.
Clarify EB-2 versus EB-3 eligibility with each offer
If your role requires only a bachelor's degree, most employers file under EB-3. EB-2 applies when the position genuinely demands an advanced degree. Ask hiring managers which category they intend to use before signing an offer, since the I-140 petition category affects your priority date and wait time.
Use Migrate Mate to find sponsoring logistics employers
Search Migrate Mate to filter Logistics Planner roles by green card sponsorship history. This surfaces employers who have completed PERM filings for similar positions, so you spend less time on companies that have never sponsored and more time on those with a proven track record.
Request concurrent I-140 and I-485 filing when eligible
If a visa number is immediately available for your country and category, ask your employer to file the I-140 immigrant petition and your I-485 adjustment of status at the same time. USCIS allows concurrent filing, which can cut months from your overall green card timeline.
Verify the PERM wage level matches your actual duties
PERM filings use a prevailing wage from the OFLC Wage Search, assigned at Level I through IV based on complexity of duties. If your day-to-day work involves cross-functional planning or vendor contract management, confirm the employer is filing at the wage level that reflects your real responsibilities, not an artificially low classification.

Find Logistics Planner JobsLogistics Planner Green Card Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Logistics Planner role qualify for EB-2 or EB-3 green card sponsorship?
Most Logistics Planner positions qualify under EB-3, which covers professionals in roles that require a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as supply chain management, industrial engineering, or business operations. EB-2 applies when the employer can demonstrate the position genuinely requires an advanced degree or the candidate holds one and the role demands that level of expertise. Your employer's attorney determines the appropriate category based on the job duties and your credentials.
How does green card sponsorship differ from H-1B sponsorship for Logistics Planners?
H-1B is a temporary, cap-subject visa requiring lottery selection, while EB-2 and EB-3 green card sponsorship leads to permanent residency with no annual lottery. The PERM process adds a DOL recruitment and wage-certification step before the I-140 petition, making the timeline longer, typically two to four years for most countries, but the outcome is lawful permanent residency rather than a visa you must renew or extend.
How do I find Logistics Planner jobs where employers will actually sponsor a green card?
Migrate Mate lets you search for Logistics Planner positions filtered by employers with documented green card sponsorship history. Because PERM filings are public record through DOL, Migrate Mate surfaces companies that have previously completed the process for similar roles, so you can focus your applications on employers already familiar with EB-2 and EB-3 requirements.
What role does the PERM labor certification play in a Logistics Planner green card case?
PERM is the DOL process your employer must complete before filing the I-140 immigrant petition. The employer must conduct a formal recruitment campaign, document that no qualified U.S. worker applied, and obtain a prevailing wage determination using the OFLC Wage Search. For Logistics Planner roles, the job description filed in PERM must precisely match your actual duties, so any mismatch between your day-to-day responsibilities and the posted position description can cause the application to be denied.
Can I change employers while my green card case is in progress as a Logistics Planner?
Changing employers during PERM or I-140 processing restarts the process with the new company. Once your I-140 is approved and your priority date is current, AC21 portability may allow you to change to a same or similar occupation without losing your priority date, provided your I-485 has been pending for at least 180 days. Logistics planning roles generally qualify as same or similar to other supply chain and operations management positions under this rule.
