Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Green Card Sponsorship as a Marketing And Events Coordinator
Align your degree to the job description
PERM requires your foreign credential to match the role's stated educational requirement. A bachelor's in marketing, communications, or business administration directly supports an EB-3 filing for this title. A degree in an unrelated field weakens the employer's labor certification application.
Target employers with PERM filing history
Search the DOL's OFLC disclosure data for employers who have filed PERM applications for marketing or events coordinator titles. Prior filings signal an established sponsorship process and an immigration attorney relationship, reducing the risk that an offer falls through at the filing stage.
Use Migrate Mate to filter sponsoring employers
Search for Marketing And Events Coordinator roles on Migrate Mate to surface employers with verified green card sponsorship history. Filtering by EB-2 or EB-3 eligibility saves time you'd otherwise spend cold-emailing HR teams about sponsorship policies.
Clarify sponsorship scope before accepting an offer
Some employers sponsor H-1B transfers but won't initiate a new PERM process. Before signing, confirm in writing that the offer includes full EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship, covering the PERM filing, I-140 petition, and adjustment of status or consular processing.
Document event portfolios and campaign metrics
PERM job duties must precisely match your actual responsibilities. Compile a portfolio showing events managed, budgets coordinated, and campaign outcomes. This documentation supports both the prevailing wage determination and any USCIS Request for Evidence at the I-140 stage.
Check your prevailing wage tier using OFLC Wage Search
DOL assigns marketing and events coordinator roles a prevailing wage level based on job zone and geography. Look up your specific job duties in the OFLC Wage Search before the offer stage so you can negotiate a salary that meets or exceeds the certified wage requirement.

Find Marketing And Events Coordinator JobsMarketing And Events Coordinator Green Card Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Marketing And Events Coordinator role qualify for EB-2 or EB-3 green card sponsorship?
Most Marketing And Events Coordinator positions qualify under EB-3 when the employer requires a bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field. EB-2 applies if the role genuinely requires an advanced degree or if you qualify under the National Interest Waiver, which requires self-petitioning rather than employer sponsorship. The employer's stated minimum education requirement in the PERM application determines which category fits.
How does PERM green card sponsorship differ from H-1B sponsorship for this role?
H-1B is a temporary work visa with an annual cap and lottery. PERM-based green card sponsorship leads to permanent residency, has no annual numerical cap at the EB-3 level for most countries, and isn't subject to a lottery. The tradeoff is timeline: PERM requires a DOL-supervised recruitment process that typically runs six to twelve months before the I-140 petition is even filed, so the path is longer but the outcome is permanent.
What does the PERM recruitment process look like for an employer sponsoring this role?
The employer must conduct a DOL-prescribed recruitment campaign, including job postings, newspaper advertisements, and internal notices, to demonstrate that no qualified U.S. workers are available. For a Marketing And Events Coordinator position, the employer defines the minimum requirements in advance and cannot raise them after recruitment begins. If no qualified U.S. applicants emerge, DOL certifies the PERM, and the employer files an I-140 immigrant petition with USCIS.
How can I find Marketing And Events Coordinator jobs that include green card sponsorship?
Most job postings don't explicitly advertise PERM sponsorship, so searching by employer filing history is more reliable than keyword filtering. Migrate Mate surfaces employers with verified employment-based green card sponsorship records, letting you target companies that have sponsored similar marketing and events roles before rather than guessing from job descriptions.
Can I change employers after my I-140 is approved but before I get my green card?
Yes, under AC21 portability rules, if your I-140 has been approved for at least 180 days and your adjustment of status application has been pending for at least 180 days, you can change to a same or similar occupation without losing your priority date. A Marketing And Events Coordinator moving to a comparable marketing or events management role generally qualifies, but USCIS reviews the occupational similarity at the time of final adjudication.
