We're looking for a
VP, Professional Services - United States
This role is Remote, United States
Vice President, Professional Services - United States
This role is Remote, United States, with a preference for candidates located on the West Coast or within 50 miles of a Cornerstone office
The mission
Cornerstone Services plays a critical role in helping customers realize value faster, and we are entering an exciting next phase in how we sell, deliver, and scale Services globally.
The Vice President, Professional Services will lead Cornerstone’s global Services organization across Services Sales and Services Delivery. We are looking for a true builder and operator: someone who has successfully scaled a global Services organization, knows what strong operating fundamentals look like, and is energized by the opportunity to build what comes next rather than simply run an established model.
This leader will balance two mandates at once: strengthen the operating foundation required to perform consistently at global scale while transforming Services around faster time-to-value, better customer outcomes, partner scale, and AI-enabled delivery. They will connect regional teams around one global strategy while partnering deeply across Sales, Partners, Product, and the broader Customer Organization to shape the full customer journey.
This is an opportunity to lead a global business through a meaningful inflection point and help define what a modern, AI-enabled Services organization should look like.
What this role owns
1. Operate one global Services organization
Set the global strategy and operating model across Services Sales and Delivery, creating the structure, rhythms, metrics, and accountability required to operate as one business across regions.
Bring together diverse regional perspectives while creating clarity on global priorities, decision rights, performance expectations, and ways of working. Build the fundamentals needed to scale while preserving the local market understanding required to serve customers effectively around the world.
Own Services performance across revenue, margin, utilization, capacity, delivery quality, customer experience, and time-to-value.
2. Accelerate customer value and experience
Make faster time-to-value and stronger customer outcomes central to how Services operates and measures success.
Build a delivery model that is simpler, more predictable, and easier for customers to navigate, reducing unnecessary complexity from sales through implementation and value realization.
Partner closely with Sales, Customer Success, Product, Solutions, Support, and other Customer Organization leaders to improve the end-to-end customer journey, strengthen commitments made during the sales cycle, and resolve the cross-functional barriers that slow customer value.
3. Scale through a global delivery ecosystem
Build the right delivery ecosystem across Cornerstone teams, Global Delivery Centers, and strategic Services partners.
Define where Cornerstone should lead directly, where partners provide the best path to scale, and how teams work together to deliver a consistent customer experience. Strengthen partner readiness, governance, quality, and accountability as partner-led delivery grows.
Bring strong global operating judgment, including experience navigating different regional business environments, workforce models, employment considerations, cultures, and regulatory requirements.
4. Reinvent Services for the AI era
Set a bold, practical vision for how AI changes the Services business, from how work is sold and scoped to how it is delivered, staffed, measured, and monetized.
Move beyond experimentation to demonstrate measurable results from AI through increased consultant leverage, faster implementations, greater consistency, improved customer experience, stronger knowledge reuse, and new Services delivery models.
Advance Cornerstone’s evolution toward Services 2.0 through repeatable services, automation, outcome-oriented delivery, and new approaches to creating customer value.
We are looking for a leader who brings a genuine point of view to this work, experiments thoughtfully, learns quickly, and can be an internal and external thought leader on the future of AI-enabled Services.
5. Build the organization for what comes next
Develop a high-performing global leadership team and rapidly build the capabilities required for the future Services organization.
Create an environment that combines accountability with entrepreneurial energy. Develop talent in areas such as AI-enabled delivery, advisory services, commercial acumen, partner orchestration, outcome-based delivery, and new-product readiness.
Lead significant change with clarity, bringing people with them while maintaining strong customer and business performance.
Key leadership accountabilities
-
Lead the global Services business across both Services Sales and Services Delivery.
-
Build Services capabilities across both traditional SaaS delivery and AI-native solutions. These may require different delivery motions, talent, methodologies, and operating models, but they must come together as one connected, seamless customer experience from sales and implementation through adoption and value realization.
-
Build the operating model, management systems, and global leadership alignment required to scale.
-
Drive performance across bookings, revenue, margin, utilization, capacity, delivery quality, customer experience, and time-to-value.
-
Create a more integrated customer journey by partnering with Sales, Product, Partners, Customer Success, Support, and Solutions.
-
Scale delivery intentionally across internal teams, Global Delivery Centers, and Services partners.
-
Define and execute an AI strategy for Services with measurable customer, productivity, and economic impact.
-
Build a strong global leadership team and accelerate the capabilities needed for the future.
-
Serve as an executive sponsor for strategic customers and a senior leader across the broader Customer Organization.
What success looks like
Within the first 12 months, this leader will have:
-
Created stronger global alignment around a clear Services strategy, operating model, performance agenda, and leadership expectations.
-
Strengthened core operating fundamentals while maintaining strong customer and business performance through change.
-
Demonstrably reduced friction and time-to-value across the customer implementation journey.
-
Advanced a scalable global delivery model across Cornerstone teams, partners, and Global Delivery Centers.
-
Put AI into production across meaningful Services workflows with measurable improvements in productivity, delivery speed, quality, or customer outcomes.
-
Established a clear roadmap for the next generation of Cornerstone Services, including more repeatable, scalable, outcome-oriented, and AI-enabled delivery models.
-
Built momentum behind the talent, leadership capabilities, and culture required to scale globally.
What we’re looking for
-
A proven builder/operator who has scaled and evolved a meaningful global Professional Services or technology Services organization, not simply inherited and managed a mature operating model.
-
Enough scale experience to understand what great global operations require, combined with the hands-on instincts to build processes, capabilities, teams, and operating mechanisms where they do not yet exist.
-
Demonstrated leadership across both Services Sales and Services Delivery, with strong commercial and operational fluency.
-
Experience leading globally distributed organizations and navigating the practical realities of operating across regions, including different cultures, labor environments, workforce models, and regulatory considerations.
-
Deep experience with partner-led delivery and blended models spanning internal teams, strategic partners, and Global Delivery Centers.
-
A strong track record of improving customer time-to-value, experience, and measurable outcomes, not simply project economics.
-
A genuine AI thought leader with demonstrated examples of using AI to materially change how a Services organization operates or delivers value.
-
Strong cross-functional leadership with the ability to shape strategy and drive decisions across Sales, Product, Partners, and customer-facing organizations without relying on organizational authority alone.
-
An energizing change leader who can create clarity from ambiguity, challenge established assumptions, make decisions, and build momentum across a complex global organization.
-
A strategic thinker who stays close to the work, the customer, and the data and is equally comfortable defining the future state and building the mechanisms required to get there.

Document your specialty occupation evidence early
Pull your degree transcripts, employment letters, and project deliverables before you start applying. PERM audits frequently target Professional Services roles, and gaps in your specialty occupation record delay certification by months.
Target employers with PERM filing history
Use the OFLC Wage Search to verify that a prospective employer has filed PERM applications in your SOC code. Employers with active filing history have established internal processes, which shortens your sponsorship timeline significantly.
Search green card sponsoring jobs on Migrate Mate
Filter Professional Services Engineer openings by EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship status on Migrate Mate. You'll see which employers have green card filing history for your role type, so you're not guessing during the offer stage.
Align your job title with DOL wage levels
PERM requires your employer to pay at least the prevailing wage for your actual duties. Review the OFLC Wage Search under the relevant O*NET occupation code before negotiating your offer to confirm the wage level matches your experience tier.
Ask about concurrent I-140 and I-485 filing eligibility
If your priority date is current when your I-140 is approved, you can file for adjustment of status simultaneously. Confirm your country's visa bulletin dates with your employer's immigration counsel before signing an offer that assumes a shorter timeline.
Understand how EB-3 audit risk affects your start date
DOL audits EB-3 PERM applications at higher rates for technical roles. Audits add 12 or more months to the process, so negotiate your start date and H-1B visa extension coverage with the employer before PERM is filed.
Green Card Professional Services Engineer: Frequently Asked Questions
Do Professional Services Engineer roles qualify for EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship?
Both categories are available depending on the role's requirements. EB-2 applies when the position normally requires a master's degree or equivalent advanced credentials. EB-3 covers roles requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a relevant field. Your employer defines the minimum requirements in the PERM application, so the job description language directly determines which category you file under.
How does green card sponsorship differ from H-1B for this role?
H-1B grants temporary status in two or three-year increments, requires H-1B cap selection or a cap-exempt employer, and must be renewed continuously. PERM-based green card sponsorship is a permanent immigrant petition with no annual cap at the EB-3 level for most countries outside India and China. The process takes longer, typically two to four years from PERM filing to a green card for nationals from low-backlog countries, but the outcome is lawful permanent residency rather than renewable temporary status.
What is the PERM process for a Professional Services Engineer position?
Your employer files a PERM application with DOL to certify that no qualified U.S. workers are available for the role at the prevailing wage. DOL reviews the application and may audit it, which is common for technical positions. Once certified, the employer files Form I-140 with USCIS. After I-140 approval, you file for adjustment of status or consular processing when your priority date becomes current in the visa bulletin.
How can I find employers who sponsor green cards for Professional Services Engineers?
Migrate Mate lets you filter Professional Services Engineer jobs by EB-2 and EB-3 sponsorship status, showing which employers have verifiable PERM filing history for this role type. Searching this way eliminates companies that only advertise openings without a sponsorship track record, which is the most common reason candidates lose months in the process.
Can I change employers after my I-140 is approved?
Yes, under AC21 portability rules, you can change employers after your I-140 has been approved for 180 days or more, provided the new role is in the same or similar occupational classification. For Professional Services Engineers, the new position generally needs to fall under the same SOC code or a closely related technical function. Your new employer does not need to refile PERM from scratch, but they must be willing to support your pending adjustment of status case.
