Project Coordinator Green Card Jobs
Project Coordinator roles qualify for EB-2 or EB-3 green card sponsorship through the PERM labor certification process, which certifies no qualified U.S. workers are available before your employer files the I-140 petition. Construction, tech, and healthcare firms regularly sponsor foreign professionals in this role, leading to permanent U.S. residency.

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Green Card Sponsorship as a Project Coordinator
Document your degree field precisely
PERM requires your degree to match the job's educational requirement. A Project Coordinator role filed under business administration or construction management needs your transcript to reflect that specific field, not a broad general degree title.
Target industries with PERM filing history
Construction, IT services, and healthcare systems file PERM applications for Project Coordinators far more often than retail or media. Filter your search by industry to find employers already familiar with the sponsorship process for this occupation category.
Search green card sponsoring employers on Migrate Mate
Migrate Mate surfaces employers with active green card filing history for Project Coordinator roles, so you're not guessing which companies will sponsor. Filter by industry and location to match your background before applying.
Confirm the SOC code before your employer files
PERM filings for Project Coordinators can use different Standard Occupational Classification codes depending on the industry. Verify with your employer which SOC code they plan to use, since it affects the prevailing wage level DOL will assign to the role.
Check prevailing wage before negotiating your offer
Your employer must pay at least the DOL prevailing wage for your role and location. Use the OFLC Wage Search to look up the Level I through Level IV wage for your specific job title before you enter salary discussions, so you can confirm the offer qualifies.
Ask your employer about concurrent I-485 filing eligibility
If a visa number is immediately available for your country and preference category, you may be able to file for adjustment of status at the same time as the I-140 petition. Confirm this with your employer's immigration counsel after the PERM is certified.

Find Project Coordinator JobsProject Coordinator Green Card Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Project Coordinator role qualify for EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship?
Most Project Coordinator positions qualify under EB-3 as skilled workers, since they typically require a bachelor's degree and at least two years of relevant experience. If the role is structured to require an advanced degree or the candidate holds a master's degree and the employer documents that requirement in the PERM job description, EB-2 may apply. The distinction matters most for nationals from countries with long EB-3 backlogs.
How is green card sponsorship different from H-1B for this role?
Green card sponsorship through PERM targets permanent residency, not a temporary work period. Unlike the H-1B, EB-3 has no annual lottery, so your employer can file at any time without waiting for a selection result. The tradeoff is timeline: PERM labor certification, the I-140 petition, and adjustment of status typically take two to four years combined, longer than an initial H-1B approval, but the outcome is lawful permanent residency.
What does the PERM process look like for a Project Coordinator role?
Your employer starts by obtaining a prevailing wage determination from DOL, then runs a required recruitment campaign to demonstrate no qualified U.S. workers are available. Once PERM is certified, they file the I-140 immigrant petition with USCIS. If your priority date is current, you can then apply for adjustment of status. The full PERM stage alone currently averages six to eighteen months depending on whether the application is audited.
How do I find Project Coordinator jobs where the employer will sponsor a green card?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search. It shows Project Coordinator roles at employers with documented green card filing history, so you can focus applications on companies that have already navigated PERM sponsorship for this job category. Filtering by location and industry narrows results to employers whose sponsorship patterns match your background and visa timeline.
Can I switch Project Coordinator jobs after my I-140 is approved?
Yes, in limited circumstances. Under AC21 portability rules, if your I-485 adjustment of status application has been pending for at least 180 days and the new role is in the same or a similar occupational classification, you can change employers without losing your place in the visa queue. Project Coordinator roles within the same industry generally satisfy the same-or-similar standard, but your new employer's immigration counsel should confirm before you resign.
