Regional Director Green Card Jobs
Regional Director roles qualify for EB-2 and EB-3 green card sponsorship through the PERM labor certification process, which requires your employer to document that no equally qualified U.S. workers are available. Sponsorship typically adds 12 to 24 months to your hiring timeline, so targeting employers with active PERM filing history is essential.

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Green Card Sponsorship in Regional Director
Translate your management scope into PERM language
PERM job descriptions must match your actual duties precisely. Document the geographic territory you oversee, P&L responsibility size, and number of direct reports using the same framing DOL expects for a specialty occupation requiring an advanced degree.
Identify employers with active PERM filing records
Multi-state or national companies that regularly open Regional Director positions are far more likely to have established PERM infrastructure. Use Migrate Mate to filter Regional Director roles by employers with documented green card sponsorship history.
Verify your degree aligns with the posted role requirements
EB-2 eligibility for Regional Directors typically requires a master's degree or a bachelor's plus five or more years of progressive management experience. Pull the O*NET occupation profile for your specific title before interviews to confirm how your credentials map to DOL's classification.
Raise sponsorship timing during the offer stage
PERM recruitment must begin after a formal offer is extended, not before. Ask your hiring contact whether the company has legal counsel on retainer for PERM filings and whether they've sponsored this specific title before, not just H-1B holders generally.
Check prevailing wage before negotiating your offer
DOL sets a prevailing wage for your exact role, location, and experience level. Use the OFLC Wage Search to look up the Level III or Level IV wage for Regional Director in your target metro before you finalize compensation, since your certified wage locks in your PERM filing.
Build your credential file before the I-140 stage
Gather performance reviews, org charts showing your reporting structure, and any board or executive-level documentation of your regional authority. USCIS reviews these to confirm the role genuinely required the advanced degree or credentials listed in the approved PERM application.

Find Regional Director JobsRegional Director Green Card Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Regional Director role qualify for EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship?
Regional Director positions typically qualify for EB-2 when the employer requires a master's degree or a bachelor's degree plus significant progressive management experience. EB-3 applies when a bachelor's degree is the stated minimum. Your employer's job description controls the classification, so the posted requirements at the PERM stage determine which category you're filed under, not your actual credentials alone.
How does the green card process differ from H-1B sponsorship for this role?
H-1B sponsorship is temporary and subject to the annual lottery, while PERM-based green card sponsorship leads to permanent residency with no cap for most nationalities at the EB-3 level. The tradeoff is timeline: the full PERM, I-140, and adjustment of status process typically runs two to four years for non-backlogged countries, compared to a few months for an H-1B approval.
How do I find Regional Director jobs where employers will sponsor a green card?
Most job postings don't explicitly advertise PERM sponsorship willingness, so searching by posting language alone misses the majority of eligible employers. Migrate Mate surfaces Regional Director roles filtered by employers with documented employment-based green card filing history, which is a more reliable signal than whether a company mentions sponsorship in their job ad.
Can my employer start the PERM process before I have H-1B status?
Yes. PERM is independent of your current visa status, and employers can begin the labor certification process while you're on any lawful work authorization, including OPT, H-1B, or L-1. Starting PERM early is strategically important for Regional Director candidates because the clock on priority dates begins at the I-140 filing, not at PERM initiation.
What happens to my green card case if I change employers after PERM is filed?
If your I-140 has been approved for 180 days or more and your priority date is current, you can port the green card case to a new employer in a same or similar occupational category under AC21 portability rules. For Regional Director roles, a comparable management title at a different company generally satisfies the same or similar standard, but your new employer's attorney should confirm before you resign.
