Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Green Card Sponsorship as a Technical Services Manager
Align your credentials to PERM requirements
Your degree and job title must match the minimum requirements listed on the PERM application. If your technical degree is from outside the U.S., get a credential evaluation early so it maps cleanly to the role's education requirement.
Target employers with active EB-3 filing history
Search DOL PERM disclosure data to identify companies that have sponsored Technical Services Manager roles before. Employers who've navigated PERM for this title already know the recruitment documentation and prevailing wage obligations.
Verify your prevailing wage tier before negotiating
Use the OFLC Wage Search to look up the prevailing wage for your target SOC code and location. Your offered salary must meet or exceed that level, which directly affects your EB-2 versus EB-3 classification.
Search for green card sponsoring employers on Migrate Mate
Filter by employers with verified green card sponsorship history for technical management roles. Migrate Mate surfaces PERM-filing companies so you're not guessing which employers will sponsor, saving time before you ever send an application.
Clarify sponsorship intent before the offer stage
Ask directly during final-round interviews whether the company sponsors PERM for this role, not just H-1B. Some employers sponsor temporary visas only, and confirming green card sponsorship willingness before you accept prevents a costly timeline mismatch.
Understand how PERM advertising rules affect your start date
USCIS requires employers to complete a mandatory DOL recruitment period before filing PERM. For Technical Services Manager roles, that process typically runs several months, so factor that window into your transition timeline when accepting an offer.

Find Technical Services Manager JobsTechnical Services Manager Green Card Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Technical Services Manager role qualify for EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship?
Both categories can apply depending on how the position is defined. EB-3 covers roles requiring a bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field, which most Technical Services Manager postings specify. EB-2 applies when the employer requires an advanced degree or the candidate holds qualifications beyond a standard bachelor's. The employer's PERM job description controls which category is used.
How does green card sponsorship differ from H-1B for this role?
H-1B is a temporary work visa with a capped annual lottery and a maximum six-year duration. Green card sponsorship through PERM leads to permanent residency with no cap concerns at the EB-3 level for most countries. The trade-off is timeline: PERM requires a DOL-supervised recruitment process before USCIS adjudicates the I-140 petition, making the path longer but the outcome permanent.
What does the PERM labor certification process look like for this job title?
Your employer files a PERM application with DOL after completing a mandatory recruitment period that documents no qualified U.S. workers were available for the role. For Technical Services Manager positions, that means advertising the exact job duties and minimum requirements publicly. DOL reviews the application, and if certified, the employer proceeds to file an I-140 immigrant petition with USCIS on your behalf.
How do I find employers who will sponsor a green card for Technical Services Manager positions?
Start with Migrate Mate, which filters job listings by employers with verified green card sponsorship history in technical management roles. You can also review DOL PERM disclosure data directly to see which companies have sponsored this title before. Targeting employers with an existing PERM track record for your role significantly shortens the runway to an offer that includes sponsorship.
Can I use O*NET to strengthen my PERM eligibility documentation?
Yes. The O*NET profile for Technical Services Manager outlines the standard duties, required knowledge areas, and education levels associated with the role. Reviewing it helps you confirm that your actual work experience aligns with the occupational definition DOL uses during PERM review, and it helps your employer draft job requirements that hold up under audit scrutiny.
